Seriously, “less frustrating” needs to stop.
Examples why:
Sombra’s hack is frustrating. Could we get the cooldown increased from 6 seconds to 8? I think that would make her less frustrating…
or
Mercy’s rez is frustrating because it un-does all the damage I just spent all my cooldowns dealing. Could we get its cooldown increased from 30 seconds to 45? It would make her less frustrating…
…but she’s otherwise okay.
From another perspective, in two seconds Hanzo can hit you with either 2 normal arrows, or 6 storm arrows. With his M1 it’s much easier to land consecutive headshots. Why? Because the fire delay and charge time give you mandatory dead time you can spend aiming.
Storm arrow? Consecutive headshots are dependent on your tracking skill, and your opponent’s inability to juke.
So what’s the damage output for Storm Arrow? Against a normal opponent it’s far less than the proposed 960 damage people are trying to use to scare the forums into backing a nerf.
So how much damage can you expect out of a hanzo storm arrow barrage?
Given the recent speed buff to his projectiles and his given accuracy of around 40%, we can expect at least 3 storm arrows to miss. However if one of the three that hits is a crit (which is not uncommon) you get the effect of 4. So 80x4=320.
But his average accuracy is 40%…not 50…
Around half the time, he’s not going to get 3/6 arrows to land. He’ll only get 2 (especially if he’s aiming for headshots). That’s not 320. That’s 240.
“But that’s a lot of missing!” Well, I did say we were going to assume his target was NOT a potato, and was actively working to dodge shots. ADAD spam is a thing for a reason. It works, and if hanzo is regularly running roughshod over your corpse, you probably need to practice it a bit more.
Missing 4 out of 6 storm arrows is not going to be uncommon. However, with 40% average accuracy, hitting 4 our of 6 will also not be uncommon. And against tanks, with their ginormous hitboxes, even 6/6 hits won’t be that uncommon. However, in both cases, we’re talking about uncommon occurrences. Not the norm.
Also, by comparison, a hanzo in a good shooting position will have a roughly 1 in 4 chance, under a 40% accuracy with the faster arrows, to land back-to-back headshots. That’s 500 damage in just shy of 2 seconds. 0.5 seconds to charge the first arrow, which can be ignored because technically we can say the attack begins when he releases the first arrow. 0.5 seconds to grab a new arrow, 0.5 seconds to charge up the followup, and then travel time to land the second shot.
That’s 500 damage in 1 second + travel time. If you think storm arrow is bad, just wait until the actual good hanzo mains finish dialing in with the new arrow speed on their M1.
People were asking for scatter to be removed, not for it to be replaced with an even more OP ability. This logic is just invalid.
It’s like saying to the people who asked for huge rez to be removed “Well you asked for it to remove, now you’re not allowed to complain about Mercy 2.0 pre nerfs being OP!”

Lmao, the only people who think Hanzo is or was a sniper are people who don’t play him and/or play him wrong.
Hanzo was never a reliable sniper. He’s always been a mid-range bruiser/flanker. People never noticed before because Hanzo was so bad VS other mid-range heroes that you rarely saw him in that range.
Just because he has the POTENTIAL to snipe doesn’t make him a sniper. He’s a garbage sniper compared to Widow.

…you really missed their point. they were referencing how hack was once 6 seconds but the forums complained and got it nerfed to 8…personally with the 2 extra seconds if she gets hit to start hack again, i wouldnt mind if she had it back to 6.

Just keep shooting her then, that way she’s effectively Hacked herself until she disengages since she can neither Hack nor Invis.
It’s like everyone else is running around with Hack tied to their primary fire for Sombra.
