Oh boy more skins for the whales.
I see it as nit-pick to complain. Those types of comments have been ongoing since launch of the game. I see it happen in other games too. âDoing X thing instead of dealing with Y thingâ. Implying resources could have gone into a âpreferable thingâ and assumes that it would improve that thing at a greater degree or at least done so at a faster rate. As if it made a significant difference, has priority or was of actual importance; and/or the new thing has no importance (to them but matters to others). Notice the suggestions of what could be improved are usually left vague, is something already worked on, or irrelevant, and of subjective value like balance. Usually said by those with a history of doom posting already.
Iâd imagine they would want a Korean to represent. Makes sense, Iâm generally indifferent but at least most are different.
Apparently the artists and/or the people working on the collaboration over there also made some character picks, like picking Ashe before, and included their own little designs like giving a plushie on Mercy. Seems cute, a shame I donât buy skins lol

Ok. Iâve said for years now, âI donât mind that more popular heros get priority for skins in OW2â. The team needs to make money somehow, and skins are a pretty harmless way to do so.
But I think now, years later, Iâm kind of exhausted of it. Iâm getting so tired of the same like, 5-10 heros TOPS in this game (at least Illari is in this, but itâs just another âkawaii uwu girlâ) who get skins with ANY effort whatsoever. If youâre only going to spend 10% of the time on a skin, you can NOT expect it to sell at all. And then sure enough, when these crappy made skins donât do well, they think âwell, only skins for the POPULAR heros sell!â. People just want GOOD skins. Like, give the money makers a TINY bit of breathing room at all? Or at least, when you make a skin for another hero, try a little harder to make it look even somewhat cool?
It feels like, with minimal exceptions, ONLY these handful of heros get good looking, well designed skins. The other heros just get trash churned out with wack hair (even on legendaries), badly rendered designs, no brain recolorsâŚItâs been YEARS now since some of these heros have gotten even remotely good skins.
Even the mythic cycle just heavily favors this. All the âpopularâ skin heros already got their mythics (or are slated to), and EVERY mythic weapon we have or know is coming up are ALSO for these popular heros that ALREADY have mythic skins.
Idk. Iâm for paid-for skins. I want the team to make money. I get the âpopularâ cast are going to get the lionâs share, like 80% of skins. But can the 20% that goes to the other heros at least not be slap rush-job skins? A little similar consideration? Itâs just getting SO frustrating that EVERY cool event that happens, you KNOW itâs the same heros, almost without fail, over and over and over.

The âlongcoatâ shows in the trailer around the 16 second mark, but I dunno if itâll actually be in game.
That said, her gun, pose, and hat do more heavy lifting than the coat for me.
Iâll wait to see how it looks in-game though. Iâm fine with changes to silhouettes as long as the end result is still recognizable.
Actually they donât, Mercy has been top2 most popular hero in the game with Ana for the last two years. Devs even said so before OW2 launched too lol. Dva isnât even top10 most popular the last year. Hence why Mercy and Ana both got mythic skins and weapons before Dva even got one lol

Itâs great OVW is doing another collab, I love to match with my teammates. I hope in the future all the female characters get a Le Sserafim style skin: Ana, Freja, Junker Queen, Mei, Moira, Pharah, Soujourn, Symmetra, Widow, and Zarya!

Why would you give D. Va another Le S. Skin? Could have easily gone to Zarya or Odessa for the tank.

Her and her MEKA reference South Korea quite a bit. Theres her classic Taegeukgi skin with the South Korean flag on it 
and when she talks to Mei, she mentions âshopping in Seoulâ. Also, theres the Seoul and Busan maps, obviously based on D.Vaâs country of origin.
What if the south simply takes out the north then it would just be second America right?

Lowkey disappointed dva is the tank that got the 2nd collab skin (donât get me wrong, she looks stunning!)âŚthey should either had the first girls get the 2nd collab again alongside dva or have another tank to get the 2nd collab skin (if junkrat can get a collab skin, why canât someone like roadhog lol cause i can really see him vibe while fiddling with a stanimari or zarya, who i can see listening to antifragile or unforgiven during her workouts)
Concert clash was a real good tho, hope it comes back during this eventâŚloved the music it had tooâŚ
Bring back Choreography Emote for Kiriko, it makes sense for collab and its her only dance emote.
