So its been a while since I posted something in these forums that isn’t related to Mercy’s current garbage tier. lol. I main all the supports, and I am passionate about Mercy and wish for a revert with fixes, despite my most played hero right now is Lucio (Last time I played Mercy in Competitive was Season 8). Like Jesus there are so many great ideas on how to fix Mass Rez on the forums, but do devs care? Lol nope. Oh well…
BUT… this isn’t going to be a Mercy thread. I am actually curious on what the Tank and Torbjorn mains have to say about the current PTR/Live changes.
I keep hearing that Reinhardt’s Earthshatter rework of its code made Earthshatter even worse and buggier, and the new animation fixes made him slower, but I don’t really play Reinhardt. I am still curious on what the Reinhardt mains have to say about this. I mean, I haven’t played him enough to know and feel the changes.
On the other hand, what is everyone’s opinions and feelings of the new reworked Torbjorn? How do you Torb mains feel about this certainly weird and different Torbjorn. I personally think that his turret was severely nerfed, but idk. I know the focus is now more on Torbjorn, but idk, a low HP throwable turret is meh at best. His ult on the other hand… well… insert Sombra’s voiceline “I know who has been naughty” here. His hammer is completely useless now, but as someone who likes to play Torbjorn when drunk and use the hammer nonstop in custom games and such, Im really glad they kept the hammer. I will miss the armor tho.
So what do you all think about the current Reinhardt and Torbjorn? I don’t specialize on them, but I would like to know what the people who do have to say about it.
mass res was garbage and ridiculously unbalanced, im glad its gone her current res is 10 x better, theres a reason people bring 2 heals into comp games, 1 for tanks n 1 for everyone else, most people don’t play that way, that’s why tanks die, that’s why dps die, and why heals die L2Heal in that case, as far as Rein goes, it literally sucks to play rein now with all the damned speed in the game, people just run right through the shield while youre trying to back pedal and shoot you, melee you, its literally retarded, charge is a bogus ability now, you are more likely to knock your target into a safe spot then actually get a pin, earthshatter is trash , the wind up takes way to long, rein was my favorite toon to play, since they’ve added moira, doomfist, brigette, wrecking ball to go along with tracer, genji, lucio, d.va, pharrah, soldier, McCree , widow and hanzo ive picked up 140hours on widow and 120 or so on hanzo because tanking just isn’t fun anymore in all honesty
Rein still bugs out with his earthshjtter, and his charge is still an unpredictable mess.
I’m more curious that not enough Doomfist haters are acknowledging the Torb rework. With more viability, one of Doomfiat’s counters will make it harder for him to dominate.
So Reinhardt still buggy as hell huh? Im not surprised.
Oh right. Charge hasn’t been fixed yet? I completely forgot about it. Oh boy. I really do feel bad for Reinhardt mains.
Its thanks to the armor he gets on his own and the new ult right? It really is a big denial area ult. Hm… although Im not sure how new Torb can really counter Doomfist… but then again, I don’t main Torb or Doomfist lol. All I need to counter Doomfist is my sleep dart or my speed boost with boop. Try and keep up Doomfist. lol.

Torbjorn’s new overload, as mentioned, will save him from Doom’s combos or ult.
Rivet gun bursts the hell out of tanks. Since Doom is tank sized and really only effective in close range (so is Torb), Torb will hurt Doomfist a LOT.
Turret is also quite a thorn in Doom’s side. Unlike the other flankers, Doom would need to sacrifice combo blows to avoid it, something Tracer and Genji don’t need to worry as much about. Handcannon is not as good a range weapon for it, and comboing a turret will grant neither shields nor ult charge for Doom.
So yes, as opposed to most heroes anyway, I firmly believe Torb can counter Doomfist with relative ease.
