Reinhardt and D.Va aren't overpowered

Reinhardt is one of the most popular heroes in the game right now, and is mostly a necessity in most compositions. Several people are calling him overpowered, but this simply isn’t true: He simply has no competition. He is the only conventional main tank that can push in the game.

Buffing Orisa won’t solve anything. She’s stationary, can’t push and is a big pushover and will crumble instantly to any composition that walks over her shield. No matter how much you buff her current kit, she will never be able to compete with Reinhardt, who can actually reposition himself to defend his team.

Winston is a dive main tank that is used in teams that simply don’t need heavy shielding. They rush in and cause a very quick chaotic engagement where the enemy team has barely time to focus fire vulnerable targets. He can’t protect a non-dive team with his gigantic 600 HP bubble with a huge cooldown.

Reinhardt is the only main tank that can push the objective and actually defend a team. Nerfing Reinhardt will destroy any non-mobile attack composition, and knowing most people here hate dive, you won’t like what will happen.

D.Va is the only reliable peel in the game with Defense Matrix, and is also the only mobile off-tank. Nerfing her won’t make pigs fly or make Zarya a Vostok Rocket. Nerfing her won’t solve anything. Mobility is king and D.Va is the only off-tank with mobility.

Conclusion: We need more tanks. A lot more. D.Va and Reinhardt have monopolies in permanently necessary roles.

So buffing under performing heroes (in your opinion) won’t help them?

Is that what you really just said?

“Mobility is king but only Reinhardt is good”.

Do you not understand how ridiculous that is?

I agree but until then they will still be must picks especially when the rest of the tanks are just ult batteries with no ways of protecting their team but serving more as a distraction.

Bingo. Reinhardt can move while his shield is up, he has the only mobile shield.

So please, enlighten me, if we can’t buff Orisa, what do you propose that will make her a more desirable pick where Reinhardt doesn’t overshadow her in almost every way possible?

The problem with orisa is that she should be better at holding choke points defensively but reinhardt is still much prefered for that purpose.

Orisa won’t ever fulfill Reinhardt’s role. It’s best to accept that. Rein can push, Orisa can’t.

I’m not saying we can’t buff her, just saying she will never fulfill Rein’s role and he will always be a top pick compared to her. Pushing, flexibility and mobility are stronger than stationary defense. Torb and Sym were reworked for a reason. I don’t propose anything because with Orisa’s current kit she will be permanently niche.

She’s stronger on defense than Rein is in most cases. She also excels on maps with multiple floors and levels like Gibraltar, Junkertown, and Rialto thanks to the displacement utility of her SUCCballs.

Because he can move and is flexible. Everyone can swarm Orisa immediately, because they can simply move past her shield.

orisa will always be used as a niche defensive option. even if they do something silly like make her shield discharge waves in front of it that slow enemies down until her barrier is broken or make her shield act like an actual wall. cannot fathom how we had over 8 new heroes and none of them are an anchor tank with a mobile shield.

Exactly. A stationary shield will never be as versatile and good as a mobile shield. As my friend InútilApagar clarified, mobility is king and that’s why Reinhardt’s good.

its almost as if the devs are to slow on releasing more heros, this is what plagues support comps. theirs always two supports that are good get nerf than buff repert the cycle. first it was lucio mercy. than lucio ana, ana gets nerf. zen joins lucio in dive comp. lucio gets nerf. Mercy joins zen in dive comp. mercy gets nerf ana gets buffed. ana and lucio buffs bring them back into the met.

I really love Ashe and BOB, I really do. But it’s completely ridiculous the fact that we have 16 DPS heroes and a minuscule amount of tanks and supports. This wouldn’t be a problem if they launched heroes faster and didn’t release DPS’es.

DPS are the only disposable class and we have 16 of them. The game feels so stale because the necessary characters are always the same.

besides roadhog and Hammond no other tanks are really ult batteries.

D.Va also offers a lot of ult charge with her 600 HP pool and large head hitbox. I play her somewhat aggressively and I notice the fact that I offer a lot of ult charge, even if it’s worth it sometimes.

bully d va dose give ult charge but at least she useful team mate to block the ults she feeding. roadhog takes all that damage but cannot block ults

Pretty true, I didn’t consider that. Eating a Graviton Surge feels so damn good. I really feel like a “hero” when I do that.

this is why roadhog so bad for his own team he feeds the enemy ult instead of dying because take a breather. ive beem guilty of that the devs need to give roadhog something to stop his feeding

What do you mean by hog can’t block ults? His hook is a stun, so he can stop any ult that can be stunned. He can also heal through tire and self destruct, and many weaker ults

This ability also allows him to live longer and gives less ult charge when he uses it. Since he lives longer, he gains ult faster. It is a trade off
P.S. I love hog and think he is balanced right now, so is dva and rein
