Ana players be like “Come back bro I’m in sentry mode”.
I see a couple of things that happens pretty regularly and are both equally bad habits for tanks.
- The tank will sit in the “neutral” area forever and dps will start pushing up on their own getting picked. I assume the tank is either timid or unable to communicate.
- Tanks (well, Reinhardt specifically) will charge into the enemy “nest” and is usually dead before he hits anything, leaving the team vulterable and waiting for his respawn.
Generally both of these things can be controlled through communication. Comms are not used much at lower levels so as a flex player I have learned to adapt and work around whatever style of tank I have. It’s his job to set the pace and my job to adapt. So if I know he will be charging in then I will be there with him, and if I die anyway then at least we tried.

Some of it is them being bad, some is them being bored, and some is them not trusting their teammates.
If Rein thinks he’s going to die and doesn’t think he’s got anything behind him trying to take out the enemy can be a decent choice if he’s not wrong.
In most matches it seems to be a case where people want a Rein but, people don’t want to play him leading to Rein’s that get bored and can be a bit too much leroy jenkins.
As with other heros it’s entirely possible to just plain be bad and either not think or not be accurate in how they view a situation.
I’m really starting to wonder if low skill matches would be more fun as is, more fun with 5 vs 5 + a somewhat improved Rein bot on both teams, or more fun with Rein being banned.
Nows a good time to give another PSA: Rein isn’t the only target to nano.
If I’m pushing forward as an ulting Bastion, nano me over the Rein camping behind the payload.
