See? Already ppl arguing supports shouldn’t have a fair chance in THEIR effective range (6m) against any dps even if they’re melee characters.

Irrelevant! As long as it’s a support it doesn’t deserve to be balanced combat-wise! Make them healbots!”
If the supports can kill people as effectively as dps can while also healing, than why play dps? this is exactly how we got goats, no one needed to play dps because everyone else did so much damage anyway.
A: McCree is a DPS hero with low mobility. It makes sense that damage should be part of his value.
B: Flashbang has a startup animation and travels a short distance. Brig’s shield bash is instantaneous and moves much faster.
C: Flashbang can be reflected, absorbed, or outright blocked by shields. Before recent changes, shield bash had none of these properties, and now the interaction with shields is undergoing changes.
Supports should be protected by their team, if they’re alone and get caught by a DPS hero, then they should die more often than not. They should not be totally defenceless, but the DPS hero should have a clear advantage in that situation. Otherwise, why not just delete the support heroes and give all the DPS heroes a healing ability?
The healing makes supports special, the damage makes DPS heroes special.
Good Tracers were smart enough to avoid Brigitte entirely. The threat of being one-shot is used as a deterrent so Tracer couldn’t do whatever the hell she wants and the amount of armour Brigitte provides makes Tracer ineffective a lot of the time.
If it was 10, Brig could mace, bash, mace, whipshot a Tracer (150 dmg), so still be a threat. But, they purposely made it 5 dmg so the total is 145 dmg. This only effects Tracer.
If that doesn’t say Tracer bias, I don’t know what does?
Last time I checked, no character should be unable to do anything to another in a balanced game.
No other MOBA, MMORPG or First Person Action games make melee characters move slower AND deal less damage than longer ranged characters and call them balanced. (unless it’s a zombie game like NMRiH)
