Well, hello everybody, we met here for one purpose - to discuss how Reaper’s “E” was always kinda bad, and now that Symmetra 3.0 has hit live, we got to deal with it somehow.
So let’s begin arguing, Reaper’s “E” has 10 second cooldown, and it takes 2.5 second to cast, while he is standing totally DEFENSELESS + he shouts “HERE I AM, SHOOT ME” and he is glowing…
While Symmetra’s teleporter has 12 second cooldown, she casts it 1 second + it takes 1 second to deploy teleporter to usable state, she is “totally safe” when she casts it, and she can teleport whole team.
Now we have to deal with Reaper’s “E” as “THE WORST ABILITY IN THE GAME”
Discuss friends, give Blizzard some ideas to make Reaper “better bad guy”.
Concept; both abilities are garbage and require almost entirely the same buffs.
Increase the range of both Teleports by 10 meters.
Decrease the cast time of both abilities by 0.5 seconds on each end of the animation (Sym’s tp spawns 0.5 quicker and activates 0.5 quicker).
Decrease the volume of both abilities by 30% and the range of enemies hearing them by 50%.
These are hard minimum things that both need to stop being the worst and second worst non-ultimate abilities in the game.
Then, individual changes they each need:
Reaper’s TP Cooldown deceased by 2 seconds
Sym’s TP health increased by 100 shields
And if these changes alone can’t save Reaper’s TP from the trash heap, a couple further buffs could be:
Reaper TP exiting Teleport animation further shortened by 0.5 seconds
20-30% damage reduction while Teleporting (this would probably make him insanely op with everything else, but it would at least make it a worthwhile ability…)
There’s like two dozen other changes they should make to both characters entire kits, but since they won’t, these would do.
