This buff affected every shotgun hero, mate, not just Reaper. Hell, it even affected Genji.

This is in fact true… For anyone wondering.
Bastion can’t hit crits, And reaper outclasses the Dps potential… 
yeah but bastion doesent have to be in face hugging range

It did, and I know. Of all the heroes it affected, it helped Reaper, D.va and Roadhog the most. While it wasn’t a change for only Reaper, it was still a buff to Reaper, and since it is effectively a % damage increase it buffed Reaper the most since he has the highest damage.

Yea sure… he can slowly poke someone from range, but if you want any REAL Damage, He’s gotta be within 10 meters…
And even that is still outclassed by reaper’s dps potential…

But you are forgetting… Reaper has a way of closing that gap, Or getting out of the trouble he causes… Bastion, Does not.

No… Wraith form, actually… which is now controlled by the user, and literally unpredictable… Which is good and all, But like… Bastion does NOT Have the mobility, nor “sustain” it gives reaper in close combat.

Well… I’m nearly in Diamond, but ok… <.< Guess rank matters now?
And that’s maining Widow and Bastion with a Controller.
Talk about a challenge.
He definitely needs looking at.
Buffing/tweaking shadowstep would be wonderful first step. Lowering the voiceline, cooldown, and/or cast time would all help. I also suggest allowing him to teleport immediately, but still need to load in for 1.5 - 2 seconds on the back end
Buff/tweak his hellfire shotguns. Give em the Torb treatment. A nice, sexy consistent spread pattern. Possibly even lower the spread slightly?
I think an added ability to his alt fire could also go a long way to separate him from other heroes who fill similar roles (looking at you Torb and Roadie). Given Torb is now seemingly a better in your face brawler, I’d suggest trending Reaper in his initially intended flanking/assassination/disruption role, as he seems to want to be a brawler/flanker hybrid (which I love). And at this point added flank ability would give reason to select him instead of Torby poo. So with that said, smoke grenades anyone? Obscure enemy vision and don’t allow them to see you and your teammates outlines while you and teammates are still able to see theirs. And if that’s not enough, give them a little added utility along the lines of: when Reaper is firing within or through smoke he gains added life leach or even armor piercing rounds. Hell, maybe even a bit of a slow to the enemies. This would give Reaper more utility in the way of flanking and disruption.

Reaper has a better GM pickrate, more elims, more on fire and more solo kills than Bastion.
I would say that Reaper edges out Bastion in even higher tiers.
That isn’t saying much, we are talking about a race to the bottom. They both obviously need help.
But Bastion is worse off by a slim margin.

Yeah. Bastion is definitely the next in line for help. Won’t ever argue that. Our poor robot friend 
but trailing real close behind are Reaper, Roadhog, and Sym
