There might be a Reaper footstep sound bug. Ran across this playing Stadium tonight. Normally he’s pretty easy to hear coming and his teleport is distinct. But zero sound from him tonight.
I did, but, I expected to see any clips where someone spells it, find its origins.

It’s absurd how much playtime this guy gets. He has a 1.4% pick rate and he never gets banned!
It’s truly ridiculous how they just let him exist in the game. Don’t even get me started on how broken his ultimate is.

Ive had these audio issues since the start of ow2. They haven’t increased in frequency for me, they’ve always been there.
It’s the new engine. It just sucks.

It probably originated from Forgiving is my guess.

Ikr. He’s already in the bottom 3/4 picked DPS without being a character that gets banned. I’d consider it throwing if one of my teammates wasted a ban on him.
it’s true, there used to be loads of bugs with footsteps, I made loads of threads complaining about it. It was especially frustrating with roadhog because he’d just hook you randomly sometimes. I remember going in to replay and watching back my POV and still not being able to hear him, so I didn’t even miss it in game, it just wasn’t audible/didn’t play.
I don’t have the same problem anymore, so maybe it was an audio setting that I’ve changed, a headset problem, or theyve patched it. Used to whine about it on here LOADS tho. It’s definitely been a problem over the years
