Ana - Great Idea, Great lore, Great
Character, took a little bit to get her balanced right. 9.5/10
Sombra - Same as above, but creates a really fun mind game when playing with or against her, despite how “anti-fun” her kit can be some times, I think still needs a couple tweaks. 9/10
Orissa - Lore wise feels weak, I didn’t enjoy the bait and switch that was all this stuff about effi. Probably the most niche of the tanks, but I think her kit is pretty well designed with lots of cohesion but not oppressive.
Doom - lore was alright, “he’s the leader of talon” but we hadn’t had enough knowledge of talon and what they did/do to make us fear him or any strong feelings for him, reaper is/was the better villain. Also you’d think the leader of the biggest villainous organization would be some kind of mastermind, but he’s just a guy who doesn’t like weak people and likes punching things. Gameplay is alright, I find him really fun to play, can understand the frustration against him though, but I don’t find him nearly as frustrating as say tracer. Balance has taken a bit and I think he’s always going to suffer from some kind gut reaction nerfs or buffs. Ult is bad, either you have movements and you win or you don’t and you lose. 7.5/10
Moira - character is fairly fleshed out, lore wise filled in a lot of good gaps that needed filling, but not clumsily like with doomfist. Gameplay I enjoy but with and against, though stray damage orbs can really suck sometimes when I’m just running to a health pack. Kit is well designed, great aoe that can struggle when not applied correctly so AOE doesn’t get broken. The only support I can play. 8/10
Brig - lore and character wise is alright, but feels like is lacking a bit of character depth, but that may change with more lore (whenever that will be). The game needed a support that could protect themselves and other supports. But very sloppily designed and implemented. Was a bad solution for a much more complex problem that needed much more careful nerfs and buffs. Forced an entire meta onto a starting to become relatively diverse one. 3/10
Hammond - lorewise poor. Another bait and switch, totally jumped the ship and ultimately ruined most of my interest in the lore. Character motivations are weak too “what will he get into next?!” if the writers don’t take their world seriously, I see no reason why I should either. Gameplay is fine, a unique tank with a high skill cap. His meta just hasn’t come yet so I’m not too sure of how to rate him yet. 7(?)/10
Ashe - Nice character, fits into the lore pretty well, kit is pretty well designed. Think she still needs a few balance changes, once her bugs get ironed out I think she might need to be nerfed a tiny bit (little less damage on tnt and a smaller clip maybe). Kinda disappointed on the inclusivity here though. Another skinny white girl in a game that started off doing very well in terms of reflecting the diversity of the human race. 6.8/10
