Random Closeout and Punishment

I was doing my third placement match for DPS, and Overwatch came up with an error that said, “Rendering Device Lost!” and it immediately closed the application. I reopened, and it showed as a D/C with a loss, even though we were in Overtime and about to win. I’m wondering if anything could be done, it seem extremely unfair that I get a loss on the game.

For the record, I was able to replay the game and play QP.

The Overwatch client treats all leaving the same. There’s no way for the game client to know when you have a hardware failure (rendering device lost) or when you pull the plug on your computer, because it isn’t possible to monitor those things.
