Are we about to have another launch Brig situation on our hands? 
His kit is absolutely insane. God I hope they’ve got the numbers right because otherwise he’s gonna be broken as hell.

maybe even more OP than launch brig. gameplay trailers always make heroes look broken but he has so much in that video. wonder how they will balance it all and maybe it is weaker than it looks?!?!

There’s really never any way to know just from a summary of their abilities. It’s all about the tuning.

No, probably a Sigma release, though.

Sombra’s reveal trailer made her look busted, and we all know how that turned out lol.

i forgot what that reveal looked like and went back and watched it. A LONG TIME AGO… she even had an invisibility meter??

its blizzard. if you did something totally wrong, you have to do it twice to be sure how bad it was.
She had limits on her stealth and translocator, and she could contest the point while stealthed.
They removed that and put both on infinite timers (which the Sombra playerbase primarily hated…we never wanted it).
They haven’t removed it since, so we’ve just accepted we’re perpetually stuck with it forever.

She also had a timer on her Translocator (meaning that if you didn’t teleport back in time, the ability would destroy itself).

I miss parkouring on Hanamura with her timed stealth. That speed boost during stealth was great and it was such a fun tempo. She was still bad, but it was significantly more fun lol

i didnt play her at all back then. i didnt start playing her exclusively till like 6 months ago lol.
wonder if they will ever try doing that again, putting limits on her stealth and translocator… then they could have kept her 40 percent and chain hack?

I doubt it.
Now that they’ve introduced it, moving away from infinite timer to any form of timer is going to inherently and significantly feel clunky.
That’s why they should have never done it to begin with. 
But back on topic - yeah, that trailer made her look SUPER strong and then in practice, it was…unfortunate LMAO

True. I think back then, the only problem I had with her was that she could stealth-cap objectives (and also the cloak falling after taking 0.1 damage).
Back then, I had the mindset of “synchronize watch, I have 12 seconds to kill the enemy.” Now… I’m not even sure.

That is how I feel when I imagine them taking away Lucio’s infinite wallride or changing Brigitte’s Rein shield to a shield ability with a cooldown + utility. Even a stronger Symmetra sentry that doesn’t last forever.
It is definitely weird to move from ‘free ability’ to a timed ability with restrictions (even if it is a bit stronger)

Yeah, those are good examples. I didn’t think about those, honestly.
It’s one of those things where I understand from a balance perspective, it’s much more manageable. But, for the player…it’s gonna irreparably suck moving away from any infinite meter/resource/timer that it doesn’t seem like an option.

They’re not asking for anything, they’re not saying he’s busted. They literally said “I hope they got the numbers right”.
All I’m worried about is if they’ve got the numbers right. Like based on how they’ve released heroes in the past I’m worried they’re gonna get the numbers wrong and he’s gonna be busted.
Call it complaining if you want…I really don’t care. His kit is overloaded. It really really is. Depending on the numbers - there’s a really big chance he’s gonna be OP. And I don’t trust them to get it right.
I’ll give them one thing though - they’ve nailed the design of the hero (visually) - his voice lines - how fun he looks to play and everything.
