Because people griped too much about people leaving in QP…as if anything is on the line in that mode except ego or battlepass xp that you get regardless. So this is just where we are at now.
It’s kinda funny, I remember one of the arguments, don’t remember who with, they said ‘You shouldnt want to leave over bad teammates, not everyone is going to match your effort or commitment’
Which is fair to say. But now thanks to this, we basically got our arms twisted into either staying in games past a certain point, results be damned or losing access to a game. Which is literally trying to force people to match their commitment level.
Idk if thats irony or hypocrisy, but it’s definitely one of em.
I am not one who endorse such games but they do happen , it’s qp after all.
Ok for comp mode but Qp is supposed to be more layed back and not so darn serious to punish players for leaving when team refuses to play together. 9 out of 10 times nobody is in voice chat so coordination doesn’t exist.
No it doesn’t. If a teammate leaving your unranked game “negatively” impacts your experience then play comp. No one cares what the Devs implement or say about qp, its always going to be childish and pushing towards elitism with these penalties for unranked modes with no stakes.
Having said that, the penalties aren’t harsh. And the “stomps” don’t last long. No reason people can’t just stop making effort in Thier games and wait for it to end to go next.
But the penalties literally only exist as a huge middle finger to players who call out blizzards god awful matchmaking.
At this point. They should just remove the time bans. A specific country off the West coast of California has made a pledge they will increase “Cyber attacks” on U.S. systems. So we already know they have been up to this for awhile, disrupting ISPs and causing outtages with “unlisted reasons”. So… that said.
Do you want anything to do and we deal with gamers randomly dropping out. or do we want to wait 15 years until they decide to cut the Atlantic and pacific Network cables to reduce network attacks, and mandate Satellite based companies no longer can communicate with the outside world?
or another 25 years until they can write a new Universal network protocol that isn’t so easily exploited right away.
Best bet if you’re having problems, play a custom or a FFA game, then if you leave it doesn’t affect your team in the slightest.
People always have the misconception that QP means that because it doesn’t have “competitive” in its name that it isn’t a competitive mode. There are teammates relying on you, there are objectives you must complete.
What’s funny is that they think people are sitting looking at their clocks waiting to come back at the four-hour mark. In actuality, most of them find other things to do and don’t think about OW for much longer. The queue times get longer for the people still playing the game. When they finally get in, the possibility of getting in a match with someone throwing to avoid the ban is higher. When you get on a team with a thrower, you want to leave, but you don’t want to get banned for not staying on a team where you have no chance of winning. You finally realize that being banned is less excruciating than playing on a gimped team, and you find something else to do.
Bruh, you like get so many chances before a harsh punishment.
People that say they don’t like wasting time on a match that they “THINK” they can’t win is a loser’s mentality. As long as there is time, anything is winnable in QP. I’ve seen it from time to time when people just lose hope and somehow the team makes the best comeback.
Also if you think its a waste of time, go ahead and leave, you have multiple freebies before then. But consistently leaving puts stress on the already garbage matchmaking (never perfect in any game) and you basically waste everyone else’s time by turning it into a bigger disadvantage.
If you get penalized because of something unintentional like from computer crashes or connection errors, then you have bigger issues that need to be personally addressed. Your problem sounds kind of selfish… Ruining other people’s experience because you have personal computer issues or just bad connection on an ONLINE game.
The Quick Play is about playing quietly and trying things out, or play music during the match. Moreover, if I have to go to dinner I will leave the game. That is not “Ranked”. I don’t understand the 4 hour penalty, very absurd on the part of Blizzard.
I keep getting Q in matches where the team I join has almost no kills and enemy team dos have all 20+
There is no way I stay there but it keeps happening over and over so yeah im suspended… haha
