Questron has a 90% win rate on sombra

I saw. I’m not saying he wasn’t good. He clearly was. But a better player would have got higher.

Interesting. Brush your shoulders off a little?

Yeah a lot of streamers failed at lw when he launched. Who was “the best” with him is an interesting debate.

Anywho. OP’s thread. Som has replaced tracer as the go-to flanker of choice for this meta right now. While I’ve seen plenty of Som’s play her the same way pre-rework (and pay dearly for it), those good Som’s that have adjusted are having a grand ol’ time in all ranks.

I don’t view this is a problem though. Somebody has to be meta. Better her than bastion imo. Though I’m unsure where robobird stands currently post nerf. Feels like he’s fallen, I could be wrong though.

I suspect the higher win rate is more down to people adjusting how to play against her.

Same with any hero really. While people are “clueless” it’s easy to exploit.

oh wow it’s almost like the rework benefited the literal play style he’s had for years.

new sombra is not OP, stop whining about it. she’s great in 1v1 duels but crap against teams and people who stick together.

Who knows, you may be right. But honestly if the enemy team made an effort to deal with me, they could. The issue is that most teams chose (or didn’t know how) to. There was only a game or two that the enemy team chose Supports that play well against Sombra/played them effectively.

Many posts later and this hasn’t been answered lol. Forgiving had 100% win rate on Reaper, was Reaper OP?

Was Brig among the supports that played well? I’m finding more consistent value with in the last few days. She feels more impactful in this meta now.

Just a “feel” kind of statement, don’t roast me y’all :upside_down_face:

Yes! One of my losses was against a Brig who made it her mission to spycheck me at all times, swinging in random directions and checking flanks, chasing me down whenever she could. The game could not have been closer, it was on Somoa and went to overtime, unfortunately when we should have grouped for a final fight one of our teammates overextended and got picked which made us not able to make a final push onto point. Brig is pretty solid against Sombra, though I was also able to kill her multiple times with hack+virus+SMG as long as I tracked her well. It’s a good matchup.

Statistically there will always be outliers on the ends of your bellcurve.

This is normal.

One person having great success with a character is not indicative of a trend.

The only proof I see is teammates will drag down your winrate.

because a top 100 player has a good winrate in placements is a proof? did you see some of dafrans unranked to top 500. Sombra isn t even a top dps, stop the cryout.

Wait, this was on an unranked to gm or something?

Pretty sure there are other Gods that have similar winrates on other heroes. I’d bet Necros, Frogger and Zbra have very high winrates despite playing meh-ish heroes.

Also funny how ‘This hero may have a low winrate, but it’s still OP’ can be applied to Sombra but as soon as that gets applied to, say, Kiriko it’s all ‘Oh but she’s underperforming!’

I’d say that the Sombra rework was overall a massive buff, specifically because of Questron. Not sure I’m gonna call her op yet though.

Nobody maintains 90% winrate in top 500.

If this is from an unranked to gm run it’s not even notable.

Cyx got 91% wr one tricking hog in a unranked to gm challenge, so, if this questron guy was doing the same, it’s not impressive.

One person being good doesnt make a hero op

Personally, I love the Spirit Index because Reaper’s GM win rate is literally just Spirit having a good or bad day.

It’s always wild when people get domed by good players playing bad heroes, because they falsely believe the problem is the hero and not the huge skill diff. I’m sure new Sombra is better at dueling isolated players (which doesn’t exactly feel like the Sombra hero fantasy?), and players who are already good at this will be eating good–I can also guarantee you that if they dumpstered Sombra tomorrow morning, those players will still be wrecking you on Tracer.

There’s a zero percent chance he has anywhere near that win rate on his main account.

Fitzy isn’t really known for his mechanical aim either, but more for his smart gameplay. The amount of big brain move he does with old Sombra is entertaining.

He’s definitely going to struggle with the new Sombra that is focus more on dueling and hitting your shots to secure kills more.
