Yeah they don’t. So no reason to worry about your stats at all. The scoreboard is the most casual element in overwatch. In fact if you have lower stats than your average metal rank player, you’re probably actually a better player. In no way is this a guarantee, but so many low IQ plays reward high scoreboard numbers and many high IQ plays give your team mates dmg and elims over you.
For example, 2 reapers 2 separate games. Low IQ reaper gets blossom, his team kills a tank and a support. Low IQ reaper uses blossom on the remaining 3 and wipes them. He gets big score board points for doing so, but actually just put his team in a far worse position for next fight.
High IQ reaper is in the same exact situation. He sees that his team has turned the fight into a 5v3 so he saves ult and positions himself in a way to secure kills if his team can’t, but he let’s his team put in most the damage here so they can get ult charge.
Next team fight, high IQ reaper has blossom and his team mates have a couple ults because he let them get ult charge off the 3 stragglers. Low IQ reaper does not have blossom and his team mates do not have ult because he unnecessarily stole 3 kills with his ult last fight.
High IQ reaper wins the next team fight, low IQ reaper loses it. Low IQ reaper has higher scoreboard stats than his team mates AND high IQ reaper.
In other words, someone who spams ult the second they get it is going to look really good on the scoreboard, but they’re actually a bad player. Scoreboard doesn’t tell you the actual value of any of your plays. A quad kill can literally be detrimental to your team if done at the wrong time.
