AlSo has a ton of information that you failed to include as well but you chose one thing.
So there’s that
Just saying if you are going to make a statement claiming you know what happened I would recommend putting it all in or it seems as if you don’t know what you’re talking about.
Name ONE game where it’s just PvP and behind a paywall. I’m asking just ONE.
I’ll wait.
Concord doesn’t count, since it clearly showed that nobody today is paying for a PvP only game with no PvE and failed horribly because of it… and other things.
PVE was cancelled because it would not have generated any money for Blizzard and would have divided the playerbase between PvP and PvE.
Whole idea of OW2, IMO, is to generate recurring money for Blizzard. PvE would not have done that because, well, PvE players are not motivated enough to buy skins.
The funny thing is I am sure that when they did the limited time London PvE mission (the night time one), they said it was the first in a series of free PvE missions. But it never even returned.
The poor matchmaking quality already makes my opponents feel like they are playing PVE because they are so much higher rank/skill than me, they likely just assume I’m an AI.
PUBG. The grandfather of BR games. Yawn. Idk if you know this but most games were either sub based or box price before the F2P monetization model wave hit. regardless of if they were PvP or PvE or both.
There’s a misconception that people wanted PvE. We didn’t want PvE, we wanted an actual sequel with a multiplayer campaign and talent trees with progression. We didn’t get a sequel.
