It probably will get fixed as it does every season, and I do know it happened last season too, but it’s making the game borderline unplayable on console. It’s fine until fights start, then it’s too much and nothing runs smooth, animations lag etc
It does get pretty annoying when it’s a constant occurrence, especially because I wouldn’t expect a ps5 to struggle??

Is it really bad? I literally just bought one. How does it run on the Xbox X?

It is for me! Put it this way, my friends on PC just played a game with me where they had 7k ish damage each (DPS1, Tank).. and I couldn’t quite reach 3K (DPS2) on Emre
There is a chance, of course, it’s my own PS5, but I played a few games before the new season started and I didn’t have those issues until after the update. On day 3 they still persist, this also happened to me for the first few days last season. Every other game I have runs fine though

I haven’t seen any FPS issues this season on PS5; I believe I have the GFX set to “balanced”.

I just had a game on series x where the frame rate completely tanked. Also had a game completely crash on me earlier. Both of which I’ve never experienced in 10 years playing overwatch. Add that to all the button binding issues and it’s not been great start to season 2.
Think we’re losing some of the blizzard polish these days in the name of getting content out.

Just played a game with no issue and dominated as 76 think it is fixed currently
I have it set to frame rate and never had issues either till today..
You have to restart your PS5 from time to time when playing for longer periods. This is more of an issue on custom game modes and Stadium but doesn’t really affect 5v5 comp for me
Also set to framerate mode ofc
I know the PS4 would run into all kinds of FPS drops when network connection quality was poor; that hasn’t really happened on the PS5 for me (in spite of rather obvious and major lag issues), but maybe something with the network connection is contributing. I wish I had better suggestions to offer besides: reboot the router; reboot the PS5.
I played about an hour today, mostly after they pushed a client patch, and still didn’t run into any FPS drops.
I only play 2 hours a day and turn off my ps5 never left in rest mode
If this just started happening, you might need to dust your ps5 out idk. I have a ps5 pro but I only recently upgraded last year. Idk what else to tell you, hut my experiences.
US PC players are not having fun either. its awful now.

I have absolutely no issues with the PS5 atm. I’ve put it on framerate and its smooth af. It seems like it’s an issue for a small hand of people. But still, this is def something they need to look at!
