moira main here, they need to decrease moiras dmg by around 10%~ and make her orb 40 dps.
I can actually see that work well if we rework Moira orbs like that.
Make Moira have actual utility to where she can cast slowness.

She has a 20 meter wide cone radius of sucking power that she literally just stares down the enemy while gaining health back , but also can just wraith away from the violence when the enemy notice the flanking moira on them… gee no she is totally fair to play… lol
There is a speculation she might become meta pick again. Even stated by the Tesla (Moira main). Y’know these pros play and discuss what heroes might become meta right? and they tend to be right most of the time.
Some pros that main heroes and have experience with them are right. Other pros who barely touched a hero don’t.
Meta speculation doesn’t depend on who mains x or doesn’t. Most of the time it’s tested on scrims/ptr etc.

I have been subbed to Tesla since before he was popular and play at the same elo as him, with similar hours on Moira. Like him I have mained her since release.
I don’t think it is too soon to discuss the meta, I think it is way too soon to ask for nerfs. I also don’t think she needs a flat nerf at all. I think the main problem with her kit (specifically pertaining to damage) is that some of her abilities feel bad to play against, not that they are OP.

She is a annoying hero but that doesn’t justify nerfs. (I do play her as well)

He is not an idiot. If he is playing in OWL and is complaining about her being meta then its probably happening on scrims. Ur not the one that is gonna be stuck playing a hero you dont like for months.
No matter who is meta, people are going to be stuck playing a hero they may not want to play. I think the goal should be to make every hero more interesting to play so that when they are meta, less people hold that sentiment. For instance, I do not like playing Bap in this Meta.
If they do ultimately nerf her, if she is meta again, I just sincerely hope they take that chance to rework her kit a little.
Moira is not suddenly too strong just because Baptiste got nerfed. Thats silly. He just doesnt want to play her.

“X damage doesn’t count” has always been a poor argument, and I’ve seen it for every type of damage from Junkrat to Moira. All the damage adds up in the end.
I was asking for nerfs well before the pros…i think that makes me a god.
A damage orb thrown at the beginning of the game at spawn door amounts to absolutely nothing but ult charge for Moira and the enemy healers. There is absolutely a concept of trash damage that just feeds ult. Soldier is another good example. Damage numbers mean nothing without looking at elims as well. Moira does a lot of inflated trash damage, but is not any better at leading to elims than any other hero.
Also we know Samito has to open his mouth any time there’s the slightest chance Moira won’t be gutter tier.

Dogman is a proven idiot. They already destroyed basically any support having actual fun in this game. Now it seems like he just wants them to nerf moira so he won’t have to play her because she’s ‘boring.’
He’s being stupid and basically trying to make this game even less viable. Moira is already supremely trash, and the bap nerfs aren’t going to suddenly make her less trash. Further whatever ‘meta’ they think she is going to play a big role in hasn’t cemented, and she almost certainly won’t because they will quickly, again, find that she is still, shockingly, trash.

That is great and all, but realistically nerfing heroes just because pros do not want to play them is just counter-intuitive to balance.

I think this is a very stupid way to think about the whole thing. Using a picture of the top 0.1% to show that a low-skill boring hero is ‘not the most powerful mainsupport’ is extremely dumb.
The pickrate of moira went down because BAP was overbuffed to relevancy and everyone was excited they weren’t stuck in moira jail as you can see from every GM’s twitter, twitch stream, etc.
Now that bap is nerfed, they will be sent back to moira jail, playing moira is extremely boring, underwhelming, unfun because her abilities require almost no effort and you can get insane amounts of value.
GM players value skill, the entire hero design of moira was targeted to allow new players or players who have an extremely low understanding of the game to compete with people who understand and have put in effort to improve at the game. This is why GM players/Top500 players hate moira mains/onetricks. They literally hate the whole idea behind moira’s hero design.
What you are trying to imply through this post is very ignorant of the real issues, its more of ‘please dont nerf my hero because gm players havent played it that much’ rather than addressing the actual issues of moira.
