I don’t think anyone begrudges tanks becoming more survivable, but not while maintaining the level of lethality they have, I mean with tankability, lethality and better self healing than several supports are able to provide…they can now go ahead and do everything themselves…grats

how do you make the worst role not suck? By making it a raidboss, duh
the one role that eats 90% of the cc and damage should be the strongest, its like playing the behemoth in BF1, it would be terrible if it could get nuked out of existence by only a couple of players
its never coming back they would have to undo alot of changes of which they dont likely wanna do and it seems like the double/triple shield people are the ones that want it back

Different ppl complain about different things.
This what happens when instead of targeting specific group you try to target everyone.
The only thing people complain everytime anything changes is the change not being a full revert back to 6v6.
It could be because they go too far in one direction or the other. They have yet to find the sweet spot where it will satisfy that complaint. Global changes will always help some heroes disproportionately over others, so some tanks will feel unkillable while others may hit that sweet spot.
We can already see which tanks are going to be borderline immortal with the crit passive addition.
Hog, Mauga, possibly Orisa. D.Va will probably be very good too. There’s going to be compensatory HP or armor rebalancing or nerfing needed, 100% certain about that.
Funny how they rather keep digging the hole to their death rether than think about it, stop and go back to what it worked
people need to adapt to changes that is how society evolves

You would be asking for the same changes if the dps or supports were the only ones in the role, too much responsability and every loss gets blamed on you, not to talk about how boring counterwatch is and this only enhances it further
But it didn’t work in OW1, clearly. But you folk just bury your head in the sand and pretend it did now that it’s gone lol

It worked pretty well for 6 years without problem, but they stopped releasing new heroes, last new hero was a dps that melted tanks, they never reverted tanks nerfs from goats even after rq, they kep adding more and more cc, of course the role would feel awful to play, and yet OW 2 IS SOMWHOW WORSE

Well this is just how it works, players will complain if they’re having issues.
Fix one of these issues and you create another issue, then you have another group of players unhappy.
It’s not possible to make everyone happy, with live-service games it always points towards making a compromise.
And when an issue is fixed, it’s typically more of a “This should have been done long a go, this is the expected minimum that you can do” rather than the community showing they’re grateful.
Though of course it’s not like companies follow feedback blindly, there are clear indicators and trends that show whether or not something should be done with certain feedback. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t, though I don’t think it’s a bad thing to have complaints.
It provides feedback that they can work with, constructive feedback is great, overwhelming negativity not so much.

Is this the thread where we complain about a change that a portion of the player base has been requesting, but then blame it entirely on the players in one role as a group? Because I feel like this is a rare opportunity for DPS and Support players to join together and yell at the Tank players.
I’m also a huge fan of complaining about changes based on incomplete information and prior to seeing how it plays! Who needs an informed opinion when an ignorant emotional response is so much quicker!

They want to pretend like every change is terrible so they can go back to 6v6.
Their complaint everytime might as well be “the patch wasn’t a full revert to 6v6 so I hate it”.

Tanks wouldn’t need buffs on top of buffs on top of buffs if they weren’t the only tank in the field.
Their trying to give them the frontline power of 2 with only one ‘vessel’ for it.
To act as though this isn’t a blatant byproduct of a format change nobody was clamoring for is disingenuous at best.
