I have twice now encountered Hanzos using a hack that some how fudges the hit detection or redirects fired arrows to hit a target. I have pinned both replays showing the odd in game mechanics happening, and taken screen shots showing the arrows missing and redirecting. It shows up visually in the replays. At first I thought it was the game having bad hit detection, but this latest experience and replay definitively shows otherwise. Beyond reporting players is there nothing I can report to blizzard to get this to stop?
please post a game code so we can see it
Have you checked out your latency? It sounds like a network issue.
Generally not the player doing it. It’s the replay trying to reconcile the information it got from the player with what the server says is happening with “favor the shooter” compensation.
Player who shoots hit their shot. Player who got hit saw it miss. The last calculation shown that it hit you gets applied at moment of impact… replay needs to shoop the arrow over to make it hit. Replay looks sus as hell.
Yell at Blizz. Don’t report players.
Is that the share code for the replay?

I didn’t check the rest of the match but it was very obvious at the last team fight he shoots the wall with me around the corner.
Edit: was just review more of the match. He didn’t get hits with it but at 1:40 when he shoots at the Mei you can clearly see his arrows bouncing off the ground, they don’t redirect like they did in the last team fight though.
This has nothing to do with hacks, it’s just an effect of ping.
Essentially, the game uses the internet to update character information such as position and, since it takes time for the server to collect that info and send it your client, character positions vary slightly per player. That means on your screen Hanzo’s arrow “snapped” to your head, but on Hanzo’s screen your head was right there on the arrow’s path. The game just didn’t have enough time to render it all perfectly.
Check out the replay. I’m chilling around the corner and He straight rapid fires at a wall and it bounces to body shot me.
The rapid arrow can bounce off walls if i remember correctly it can do one bounce if the angle is right
Replays are screwed and visually dont often match what actually happened in-game. For example Sym sentries currently aim to the ground in replays and PotGs.
Replays are not recordings of what happened in-game, they are literally reenacting of the data the game saves of that specific match.
Can’t watch the replay at the moment, but his Storm Arrows can ricochet once. Sounds like he was just taking advantage of it.
Didn’t know the arrows could bounch off a surface once. Since it isn’t in the ability description I assumed it couldn’t. So replays just shouldn’t be relied upon? How does Blizzard verify reports of odd mechanic behavior from players who thinks hacking is taking place?
ya hes not cheating i see nothing you were talking about he actually is kinda bad missing some easy shots
