If your queue time is too long your pass gets refunded to you. Seems like if everyone on the planet starts using priority passes then you don’t have to worry if the queue time gets back to pre-pass days - you’ll just get your pass back!

I was in queue for a little over 8 minutes. (If I recall correctly the queue time estimate was ~4 minutes.)
It’s new since yesterday. Before that, they were only refunded on cancelled games.
If they ever posted changes like this in the Competitive forum I wouldn’t have to make the observation myself.
