You can’t simply ban a person because they don’t like gays.
You can ban people if they indeed spread actual hate, insult or discriminate people.
You can’t simply ban hammer people for having an opinion.

I think Id risk being actioned if I posted the rebuttal I had written out. Suffice to say that I wholly disagree with you with the caveat that there is a fine line between having and sharing an opinion.
Riven, I’m also gay.
But I know too well a world where banning people for joking around with gay people is still in a faraway future. I know too well how people deal with people like me.
I just learned to read, ignore and move on.
It’s better this way, because there’s no use in arguing with a person who got hate as a form of opinion. It’s just wasted time and you’ll end up hurting yourself.
And they won’t give a single * about you… they hate you, remember? For being you.

I remember asking for simple subtitles for hearing impaired on certain minor areas (mainly the banter between heroes in the starting rooms) and that bridge was burnt fast, hard and gone with the wind with very little support and had multiple threats made against us in the thread… meh, all in the past now.

This is so pessimistic, but I do understand where you’re coming from. Sometimes people are homophobic but will fight tooth and nail to convice you “it’s just an opinion” without realizing how hurtful saying this actually is.

The people getting snappy/hostile over people having an opinion that’s different from theirs.
Starting to hate the LGTB, seriously not everything is about your sexuality we got you rights now live your lives.
I don’t want it in the game because of the asinine debate surrounding it, and how it will just lead to more drama/issues. That’s not “homophobic”, that’s being tired of seeing the epic struggle of moralists and SJWs, even in my video games.
More importantly, if they add it, it’s going to cause people who wear it to get flamed even worse in-game, and then the forums will be flooded w/ more “OMG THIS GAME IS SO TOXIC”.
I come here to play a game and to temporarily escape the nonsense of the real world, not be further entrenched in it.

As well, one thing I find overly funny is how many are (though they say, they are not) offended by a simple mediocre design (Rainbow Flag / Purple Triangle) that has at least 3 other well know quirky subcultures attached to it, and been apart of it for at least four decades longer then the LGTB

No need for that. Unnecessary and inflammatory. Don’t hate a whole group just because a few annoying people on here are demanding more skins/icons.
This is probably the same lot that gets triggered that we don’t have a hero for every single country on earth.

I’m not pessimistic love.
Actually, it’s amazing the progress we were able to do in the last 5 to 10 years about the subject. But we’ve got to be realistic. Even if the LGBT culture is starting to normalize on EU, America, Oceania and some Asia, it doesn’t mean people from cultures who doesn’t accept it too well won’t exist.
They still have access to internet, they have the right to share their opinion and it’s not their fault they were taught like that. My point here wasn’t being pessimistic but actually saying that I just learned that not everybody is a good person.
Hopefully, the majority is indeed ok and cool with LGBT and that’s a HUGE step. But I’m not gonna lose a night of sleep because someone called me a freak. That’s their opinion, and I still got millions of people who’ll love me the way I am, why should I care about someone who hates me for being me?

The fact is, I’m gonna fight for a better world. Every. Single. Day.
At the end of the day I haven’t changed anything, but if everyone keeps doing the same thing, in 10 years the world will be a better place. It’s called evolution

They were just on another thread telling someone to “leave this dead game behind”… I never understood people who apparently hate the game, but still come onto its forums to whine or poke at others.

I personally don’t hate most of the people that were part of the LGBT its just these people act like everyone needs to know their sexuality. Imagine if everyone started out by saying “I’m dave and I’m gay how are you”. Like only moralist care about that.

No I think its okay to hate someone that is constantly thrusting their sexuality in their face like its some sort of badge of honor when they were given equal rights 3 years ago. Before then Gay Pride made sense (and a little after then) because it was needed to push for LGBT rights in the US. Now its just annoying to see people acting like its the most important thing in their lives.

If you really are just annoyed with the recent June forum activity…then do what I do, talk about it, but be specific. Me? I can’t stand those stupid, asinine “shipping” posts… especially when it crosses the boundaries of Winston/Omnics…I find that cringeworthy nonsense of the highest order.
But what you put…that’s going to come off as hateful to almost anybody who reads it.
Because they at one point actually had fun with this game and are no longer able to do that but are also unable to find another game worth playing so they keep getting sucked back into overwatch because in spite of all of its flaws it still has some level of fun and until a new game launches that is actually fun overwatch will remain alive.
Also battle royal games suck.
Yeah…I’ve been playing Blizzard games for decades…it’ll survive. Some hyped up “5th grade favorite” title like Fortnite sure isn’t going to be the end of it…not by a long shot.
