leavers, throwers, griefers, etc. doesn’t mean elo hell. If elo hell existed in every tier, than there would be no elo hell, as everyone would have the same overall unfairness.

I don’t know what your definition of a deranker is.

My definition of a deranker is someone who has multiple seasons ending with diamond or better, but are in silver this season for some odd reason. Of course you can only tell if they have their profiles visible. And you can’t tell if it’s a fresh lvl 25 account.

One comment in this post said that 17 losses in a row makes me a deranker…yes it does, but I actually am trying. Maybe I should switch from tank/heals to DPS, because it’s funny playing Reinhardt and getting gold damage and elims consistently. And playing Mercy and getting gold heals and a card consistently. The other thing is that I don’t tend to group up using the group finder - I typically solo or duo-queue.

The medals and cards are lying to you. They’re clearly not telling you what you are doing wrong, which could be related to positioning issues, staggering/feeding, lack of protecting team mates against flankers and/or Ultimate/ability economy (none of which the medals system or cards offer accolades for but are very important)

Do I have control over others who don’t have mics and don’t communicate? No. Do I have control over parents who let their 5 year old kid play on their account? No. Do I have control over smurfs who purposely derank to show their dominance? No. Do I have control over someone’s Internet connection that goes out and then we’re down a player? No. Do I have control over toxicity and people who leave mid-game on purpose? No. Do I have control over anything in this game? No!

maybe not, but all those are things happening on both sides, you can’t just act as if that only happens to you.

and if you play enough games that all evens out and the only factor being left is YOU

If you really want to find out why you’re stuck in low bronze you should record your gameplay and post it here instead of blaming it on imaginary external factors (teammates, throwers, trolls, matchmaking, etc).

Elo hell?If you are stuck on silver and bronze then you REALLY need to get better.It is possible to get out of there.One time I was droped on high silver during placements in season 7 or 8 dont remember and I climbed up to mid-high plat where I actually was for the last 4 seasons.Elo hell is being on Mid-High Plat for 8 seasons straight.Wanting to go to Diamond but always on 2890 or 2900 you get useless people that dont know what they are doing or they are uncordinated even when you are premade with them.Makes you think how they got there in the first place…boosting?
