I understand she’s not in the meta but still, like her regular hack ability can be game changing. By simply just hacking a Reinhardt and using D.Va bomb you can wipe the entire team; it’s not ok.

This sounds like an Masters or GM game if this thing ever happens. I never see DVAs or Sombra’s work together. Why would an gamer want to combo with an hacker anyways. That’s Dirty.

Yes it’s, because you can anticipate that. As Reinhardt I always keep in mind what ultimates the enemy has, and if Sombra has her ultimate ready I just tell my Zarya to save a bubble for me, and as soon as we see that flying beacon or when Sombra screams “HERE I AM!” behind us I got bubble and then I can blick the D.va bomb.
Sombra can be countered by simply being cautious, that’s all. She can’t do anything if you’re grouped up except using her ult.

Even if I can get a hack when the enemy are all grouped up, it makes it harder to hack the intended target if they are moving around. Lucio goes zipping by in front of Rein and my hack goes to him. I could stop and redirect, but by then I’m exposed and have a life expectancy close to 0.
Pretty sure that’s what was intended in her design. Why change it? If Rein gets a pin at the right time, game changing… what’s really the difference?

She doesn’t need a nerf, but her hack power needs to be moved to something else in her kit as hack itself is cancer.
So you propose a nerf but have no suggestions on what it is.
Sounds to me like you’ve just been having bad luck against good sombras…I mean it happens to the best of us, but that doesn’t mean she needs nerfing much. Hack is the core of her kit, and probably shouldn’t be messed with too much otherwise you just may wind up creating issues for the character and her overall role in the game.
To be fair Overwatch has abilities for a reason, if you have a character that can remove them every 8 seconds that kind of ruins the game’s purpose making it a lot less fun. You can also add regular hack before emp for like 12 seconds of no ability usage lmao. That’s pretty broken if you compare it to skill based heroes

The only ‘nerf’ that Sombra needs is that she shouldn’t be able to hack people who are already EMP’d, and inversely shouldn’t be able to EMP people who are already hacked. 12 second hacks simply shouldn’t be a thing.

CHain hacking requires a ton of resource commitment from Sombra. It’d be like freezing someone with Mei and then dropping Blizzard to keep them frozen; it’s excessive and generally unneeded.
