Positivity Tide 🌊

Yeah, I feel like I’m in the middle of an MLM scheme.

The thread is nice though.

No scheme intended this is simply how I post and I’ve made some truly beautiful comments with emojis and that’s a fact :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Though if I were to make a scheme it’d be my little secret

To each their own I suppose.

Positivity and optimism can be dangerous things.

Just look at stories like the Titanic. It was unsinkable.

Do you want people like fire marshals and public health officials to be optimistic or pessimistic? Fires and pandemics never happen.

How many people continue to smoke, drink, or eat poorly because they’re positive nothing bad will happen? Just feel good right now.

Why is it so hard to get people to take environmental issues seriously? The planet will always be able to support whatever we do.

Why do people commit crimes? If they were pessimistic, they probably wouldn’t have broken into that house or mugged that old lady.

Positivity is a dangerous thing. Perhaps, the most dangerous of all things.

OH GOD!

IM GONNA DROWN FROM THE WATER!!!

This is a cute thread.

I slept like all weekend. Brief periods of wakefulness to do some homework, eat, play a little game or two. But mostly sleeping.

I have great hope that this will refresh and refuel me for the upcoming week, because I want to get out in the spring weather and get some things done. I ordered new hiking boots, can’t wait till they arrive and I can hike with less risk of breaking an ankle again. The wildflowers are out, the trees are leafing out, the weather is mild, it’s time to be outdoors before the oppressive summer heat arrives.

That would be about half the first world right now. When the World Health Organization wants you to stay home and game, you know things are screwy.

Do some jobs around the house!

Dude. My dude. I have 6 kids, 3 of whom I homeschool, while I go to university full time as a senior. One of my adult kids is severely disabled, and is home all day. I am always busy. Sometimes, you need to take a break just to keep from going insane. Try meal planning for a family of 8 people when there’s barely any food in the stores. Or keeping everyone calm when all your plans have been ruined and everything is closed.

We’re going for positivity here, and my ā€œpositiveā€ take is that the weather is GORGEOUS and I can go buy some ducklings soon. I spent an entire day cleaning the backyard to get ready for that this week. Going to build some dog-proof duck pens this week (my puppy loves to eat chickens. Alive.) It’s a pandemic but it’s also an exciting time to be alive. But, again, it’s a pandemic, and sometimes you need to hide in a hole for a day or two. Both of those are okay. I’m going to try to cook more Indian food this week, because I am stocked up on lentils and garbanzos and I can make flatbread without too many ingredients. That’s fun, right? Look at the bright side, right? I have some gardening supplies left over, maybe we can plant a garden (in case this pandemic gets worse, just in case). Always a bright side.

this is true, with most people tuck away, the environment especially the skies is looking beautiful; albeit tempting for many to go out. +1 for noticing!

It was in the UK, now its overcast and cold.

There is nothing positive about Covid-19, but please dream anyway if it keeps you going.

Can you expand on this? A garden I have, it’s not something you just plant and leave. It’s a lifetime commitment. I mean 20min a day is enough for an almost perfect garden.

Thank you so much. I have literally booked this thread. This Is appreciated by me. I have had a rough day today and I have had a rough couple of weeks.

But this thread managed to sustain me. :two_hearts::two_hearts::two_hearts:

Rein as a locomotive

For All-Stars i want a medieval knight Rein and a thunderbird D.Va. That could resemble earth and sky.

For future Echo skins i want an ancient greek and a banshee one.

Its chill but boring in quarantine. When my new PC parts arrive, i will change them. There were some that needed to be upgraded. In the meantime, doing my theses for exam, playing some Paladins, Warframe and Destiny 2 or playing Archives legendary story modes.

Finally its sunny here and we cant go out. 3 days ago snow falled xD

Sombra would absolutely enjoy such information on her hands. (although I have secrets she’d never get her hands on. hehe )

But reading your actual forum, I do enjoy for the fact that your trying to spread the positivity in a time like this, but… From what I know, I’m sorry to say, but not everybody can do that. Like, truly be happy in the darkest of places. Man, even I’m not in the best spot myself. And it really doesn’t help at all that I try to help change things, like Symmetra being underpowered, or things said like Sigma’s underpowered and Orisa’s underpowered, and to show the truth. Better to know the truth than to live a lie, right?

I can’t see the brighter ends of things, like you, probably, can. Things in life have effected me to the point that all I can see for myself is anything but bright. But, although, what I see for myself, is not the same as the sight that I have for everybody else. You all have a light. Whether or not you see it or not, it’s there. So, in your darkest times, I will pull you out of the darkness and pull you into the light. Cause I believe, nobody should have to feel the same way that I do.

Think of it like me telling you to not end up like me in a sense. Because I know that you all at least have the strength to be able to get through your messes. Take the pizza guys for example. They don’t want to catch…it…but they still have to make money for say, a house, just as an example, not a real life thing, so bear with me here. So, the solution they have been doing, kinda funny if you ask me, is to drop the pizza right in front of your door and just leave.

Let me explain a bit as to what happened and why real quick. The pizza guy needs a life, but the obstacle, the mess, the pizza guy had to go through or get past is what’s around us right now. So, instead of being the traditional pizza guy and staying at the door, giving you the pizza and such, he gives you the pizza by dropping it at the door, to avoid getting sick, and leaves. You get pizza, he gets his money and he gets one step closer to getting the life he wanted. Win for all, right?

It’s funny, it’s awkward, but it’s honestly the best solution to the type of situation they have to go through. So, if pizza guys (or girls, I forgot to include the ladies like an idiot) can get around the problem, I see no reason as to why you people can’t yourselves. I mean, let’s get a little bit back into Overwatch here for a sec, Lucio was able to get around his problem by becoming the freedom fighter we all know so well. He succeeds to do what is right in a to-this-day manner. (we see him in OW2 somewhere)

Now, no matter what you people are going through, you guys not only can get out of the situations your in, but you’ve got to know that we can’t always be positive about these things. Yes, the world needs happy people. Yes, it’s going to be hard to see the bright side. But no, it doesn’t last forever. Hold onto hope, and don’t lose your faith. If we can go far with our mains, then you’ll be able to go far out there. And I mean it when I say don’t lose your faith. For there will be a day, where the world shines bright again.

Thanks for your time,
As the D.va, Brigitte, Tracer, Mercy and Sigma main at your service,
Marcane
