Yes with lfg its much better for teamplay and makes it easier to communicate to your team when you need to switch heroes
Yup enforced voice is a great change, i had a great time with a team that were vocal.
Why would i go comp with a 6 stack i had never played with before? gotta practice with them somewhere. But “It’s just QP” so it shouldn’t matter. Right?
Funny how it’s only QP is a valid excuse for picking crap and getting the team stomped but ohhh no you can’t queue as a group that’s not fair in QP
I guess you don’t have friends or have ever played with friends then?
Just because the group is big doesn’t mean it’s a tryhard team. People have friends, friends want to play together, what’s so wrong about that?
A lot of reasons to do this. Some people like to play seriously but don’t like the pressure of losing sr in comp. Some people want to practice characters in a serious game but don’t want to lose sr to do so. Some might not be so serious but just want to play a casual game where they don’t have to flex healer every round and still have a chance to win the game.
People aren’t always “Sweating it” when trying to play the game as it was inteded to be played. A lot of people aready agree that it is much more fun to play more coordinated and that the LFG system made both comp AND QP a much better expierence to play in.
I think the point he’s trying to make is that it’s way more likely a 6-stack will coordinate and be on comms than it is for 6 randos. You might get 3 or 4 randos to jump on comms, but if not everyone is on board, that’s already a handicap when compared to the 6-stack full comms.
If you don’t want to play the game properly, what’s the point in playing with real people? Go mess around in the arcade or against the AI.
I actually find this element of LFG super rewarding. It’s also kind of hilarious in regards to the angry insta-locking DPS mains that now aren’t winning games because the people they’re up against have a good team composition, and not just the same 5 DPS atrocity. The match-making was laughable, and now I’m finally only losing games because we were outplayed, not because I got crammed onto the team with 5 support mains or 5 DPS mains.
The people who hate trying to play as a team, and people who want to play selfishly, are now being punished with steamrolling losses, which in of itself is way overdo.
LFG saved quickplay and made it have acceptable comps
Gosh, no joke. QP has been an absolute blast lately. Everyone is having a good time, even when a team loses.
With LFG though, the 6 stacks are still randos. They don’t know each other beforehand. They just are forming groups where people know their role before queuing. The only reason that solo queue people are being steam rolled is because they aren’t choosing 2/2/2 comps and the LFG guys are. And 2/2/2 will beat 4/1/1 almost every time.
I couldn’t agree with you more SensualSpud. So glad that there’s a way to avoid horrible team comps now.
As much as I see you on these forums, we really need to just go ahead and add each other as friends, lol.
It becomes onesided when one team is actually playing the game, while half the other team is off playing basketball somewhere on the map. Not very fun for the members of that team that are actually trying.
If you’re playing a team game but not listening to your teammates then your not really trying to win, you’re just not throwing.
It’s like a member of a sports team having headphones in the whole game so they can’t hear play calls. Even if you are doing everything you can personally to win, not interacting with the team is contributing to losses and it always was, it’s just more noticable now if you’re still doing it but the other team isn’t.
umm yeah i feel ya, qp is supposed to be fun and casual, but with the new feature, alot of players are replaying the game, just to try it, also the comp season is down rn, so that means all the comp players are forced into qp. id give it a week or two and it should be normal.
You’re missing the point of QP. The fact that LFG could team you up with/against stacks doesn’t inherently mean its “pro play”. The game is just trying to give the player the option of being in a semi-organized team (regardless of composition) rather than it being left to chance.
This is as childish as demanding that there should be no teamwork in friendly sports matches because they ruin the experience for those that want to play solo.
There are plenty of games with solo campaigns that could interest you; battlefield 3 or 4 aren’t bad if you’re into FPS.
I am so happy that qp is not the place for you anymore, go play arcade if you don’t give a crap about playing a team focused game.
No more braindead dps insta locks with no healer/tanks to support who wanna try and win.
So true.
Tell me who the heck wanna play zarya as a solo tank ? who ? only a masochist.
Who wanna play zen as solo healer ? A tank without healers ?
Just because the team doesn’t give a crap about building a ““competitive”” (as to be allowed to have a chance of winning with a balance between classes) since “it’s just QP” you can’t play a role you’d otherwise play.
So many times i was being told to play tank/healer if i wanted one, i did, and was forced into a solo role that no one can stand playing when the enemy team has a more balanced comp. (solo healer with zen with enemy dive comp that works exceptionally well against no tanks comps and people forget that)
The result ? if you entered a quick play match you would have known the outcome 90% of the times within the first 90 seconds, 60 for the picks and 30 for the first engage.
Yeah, but that’s the point, 6 randos who are willing to group up are also more likely to be willing to communicate. Even if both teams go with 2/2/2, the team that’s actually talking to each other, shot calling, teaming up for ultimates, will likely be the one that wins the game. What dude was trying to say is an LFG 6-stack, even tho they’re also randos, will probably have significant advantages because of their like-mindedness and willingness to group up in the first place.
Personally, I have no horse in this race, I don’t care either way, I’m just trying to clarify what I think his original point was.
