No confirmation about watching to gain access, as per WyomingMyst in a different thread, and the sing-up FAQ states that access does not roll over from the first beta. Have to sign up and get access again.

Yeah, nobody confirmed gain access to watch streams or both website. I was able to play last beta, but this beta i was forced to buy beta access. WTF they did.

I have played overwatch on and off since the first open beta, I made it through 4 zaryas, I made it through 300 damage fan the hammer + 50% discord, I made it through mass res and then moth mercy, I made it through launch brig, and launch sigma. I made it through the damage creep making playing tank kind of… really suck.

The last few days, is making me not want to play OW2, at all.

Well, you dont have to pay, but i don’t want to wait to July 5th spamming my mail inbox just for me to wait the whole week to get it.

To be honest, it is kind of hard to have sympathy for people willing to pay for beta access. Predatory or not, you kind of have to be willfully ignorant to fall for that scam.

While true it just makes the situation worse. It preys on ignorance.

Activision and EA have been doing that with battlefield/cod the last 10 years, sucks it is bleeding through to other things.

lol.

Your sauce is a random YT video of another random person on the internet? Ok fine.

I paid for it, but only to warrant my negative opinions about it and express them here. Immediate access to vent about false advertising.

With all these threads lately of people praising predatory monetization, you really think there wont be a crap ton of sheep falling over themselves to pay into the beta?

AHAHAHAHAhahahahAHAHAHHAHAHahahhaa

cmon.

But you will also get access to the battle pass, OP, which contains… uh, which contains…

…What am I meant to be paying $40 for again?

I don’t have sympathy for them, I have a bit of antipathy since they’re encouraging these kinds of practices. (But don’t worry, I’m more disappointed in Blizzard.)

I also want to add that having opted for the beta way back and expecting to play on that date, and weeks go by and still nothing I felt betrayed by false advertising. Now they’ve done it again, but charged us for the privilege. Well fool me three times.

The website FAQ specifically says the “Beta access does not roll over from the previous Overwatch 2 PvP Beta.”

“But I’m desperate for content!”
:expressionless: it annoys me that this tactic will actually work.

I don’t own OW Legendary edition, and I considered getting it for the original OW1 skins, but… I don’t want to pay $40 for just that. That’s like $6 tops.

I don’t want to buy the battlepass if I don’t even know what’s in it, or what it normally costs.

I don’t want the 2 mythic skins, since they’re for bland-old Soldier & Cassidy (If it was for a support or tank, I’d see more appeal)

I don’t care about tokens. They’re dirt-cheap currently, and I don’t see confirmation that they’d increase in value.

And the 2nd Beta only has 1 new hero announced so-far, with sign-ins likely all entered by July. I might as well just wait for early-access to play as Queen & Fox Support.

I’d say buying normal OW1 for $20 dollars is a better deal if somebody just wanted to play early, but I think OW1 was just removed from the store.

It’s like Blizzard are struggling to pay the heating bill this month or something.

Or it is becoming more activision.

I don’t think these are OWL tokens, I think these are the replacement currency for credits. You’ll be able to buy stuff with them. How much stuff? Well, uh, again, there are no details on what you’re actually spending money on.
