Please no k-pop music on main menu

tbh i had no issue with the privous collab song

but having this pa pa pa pa pa pa pa each time i move in the menus…my brain is gonna explode

They could have least put a more entertaining part of the song from the start

2 in 2 years is “constant”?

Just turn down volume knob from your speakers and turn it up when ingame. How hard can this be?.

Ah yes cause 2 KPop collabs total is pushing it lmao, Hop off Ow and find a new game if a collab on a game and a song in the menu makes you this upset.

just came to Up vote this.

I wouldn’t support any musician from any country that uses their fanbase and preaches about something they don’t practice in real life.

Using the Western LGBTQ+ audience when you’re not even an activist in your own country that bans gay marriage is something I can’t put up with anymore (I’m getting older and I’m tired of finding people excuses, especially in these trouble times where minorities are highly targeted and the far-right being stronger than ever).

I proceed case by case but Kpop genuinely feels like a capitalistic move with no real involvement for LGBTQ+ in South Korea (although, once again, I know advocating for free speech and minorities is harder there).

And again, it’s a really personal take. I simply answered to a poster that tried to imply something else so I explained why I felt that way.

My original post was simply asking for a button to turn the kpop music off.

Yes, it’s a lot and it is constant, considering there haven’t been any collabs covering other continents / countries, especially in Africa, and not many collabs altogether since 2022.

I wish Overwatch was as inclusive and diverse as it was at first. There are missed opportunities for players to discover other cultures (that are just as important and rich).

Caving in to kpop and Japanese anime is the easy option (and pretty shallow to me, in 2025).

But again, we all know Overwatch is looking for an easy cash grab and kpop and anime are all in for that money as well (caring only about profit and fanservice, way less about culture and eduction).

That’s what I’m calling out here but anyone can feel free to disagree.

In the end, all I was asking was for an option to turn the kpop music off in the menu, is all.

:joy: have you hit play on the main menu? It goes away when you do this.

I think I found a trick to only hear the “aH-Ah” echoes at the beginning of the noise (hum hum “song”) but I’m not sure what it is that I do exactly…

But it’s fine, I’ll just play less until the end of the event (that is ending by April, right ?).

I’ve finished the BP anyway so there’s no real incentive to keep playing (I play other games most of the time currently, anyway).

So this hasn’t happened actually

I actually kind of like the song I wish it was in all menus and not just the title. It’s so awkward when it just turns off when you hit anything at all.

Nah i agree you can turn it off in the settings but if you do youll have to turn it back on everytime u get a game otherwise you wont hear the overtime music or any other thing in game

That music is the bomb.

You literally can turn off the music.

Yeah but we need 2 sliders for menu music and in game music, we want to mute only the menu not the whole game

Exactly that, I would appreciate something like “press space bar” to mute any backbround music in the menu, for instance.

Some games have a slider switch on the main menu/launch screen to turn “title” music on or off. I’ve had my music set completely off for several months now and I don’t feel like i’m missing anything.
