Please give me back OW1

Hello, I am a Korean Overwatch user who has been playing since the early days of OW1.
Blizzard Korea ignores the forum and writes here.
I’m not good at English. Please read carefully.

Currently in Korea, Overwatch 2 is declining exponentially compared to Overwatch 1.
Overwatch 1 didn’t drop exponentially even without an update
But OW2 is falling exponentially even with updates.

Overwatch 2 has many problems such as visibility, sound, and tier logos, balance, but
I think the most serious of them is the 5v5 system.

5v5 has a faster game tempo than 6v6
But this isn’t a good thing

It only creates the illusion that it is fun, but fatigue builds up quickly.
And I don’t enjoy it for a long time because it’s not fun compared to OW1.
(Compared to OW1, the graphics are dazzling, There is also this reason)
OW1 was literally a team game, but OW2 is like a deathmatch.
I’m the main tank, but playing as a team with the sub tank was really fun.
But OW2 is a boring game where killing opponents is everything.

Also, the OW1 league was fun to watch for the ingenious team play (except for the two barriers).
But OW2 League is not fun. You can see this by looking at the number of viewers.

My opinion is the opinion of many Korean users, not just me.

Many Korean users are disappointed with OW2 and are leaving. It’s sad that Overwatch, which I love, is down.
Blizzard should get OW1’s system as soon as possible (6v6 , Find group , tier logo , runaway, Graphics improvements, etc …)

No matter how many skins and updates a lacking game has, it’s hard to maintain popularity. What matters is the essence

Yes please bring it back for us as a separate game!

Don’t tell me about the terms and conditions! [I didn’t read them]

Unfortunately do they also not write here.
They promised better communication, but it feels worse.

I hate to admit it, but OW2 is a dying game.
It’s not a dead game, but with the way things are is it definitely dying.

…you still agreed to them though…?

USA passed legislation protecting people making private servers for games taken offline, a few years ago.

Try to search on internet,
you not gonna get anything from Blizzard.
You need to search for unofficial game client or something.

There have been many calls for the OW1 system, also in the US and the EU. Koreans, you are not alone.

Yes I agree Overwatch 1 was better in almost every way

Your gambling skinner box is gone.

It’s never coming back.

Even if Blizzard had released OW2 separately from OW1 as originally envisioned, Jeff Kaplan flat out said that eventually the clients would merge into one, so the end result is the same.

Also all the core changes to the game, regardless of separate clients would have also changed. So even if you didn’t buy OW2 because it was a separate game, you’d still be required to play Push maps, you’d still be required to play 5v5. Those changes were happening to the franchise regardless of what version of the game you chose to play.

The only core difference is that OW2 would have unique skins and PvE modes, while OW1 would not outside of holiday events.

I want Overwatch Classic. OG 21 heroes. SR. Loot boxes. No role queue.

I highly doubt you or anyone else actually took the time to read the terms and conditions. It’s legal bs they know next to no one will read. Maybe they should be required to put the important stuff like we don’t own OW1 right at the very top in big bolded letters, and do it in a way you can’t miss it. But that would be too transparent and too customer friendly for little old Acticrap Blizzard.

To anyone that studies tos, they aren’t legally binding nor are they written in a legal format.

Basically they just throw what ever into it, hope no one will read it, and know it actually typically won’t hold up in court. For instance you can not sign away your legal writes in a tos, those are inalienable.

I support the OP and I support removing the 20 character min.

  1. I never said I did…?
  2. It not ‘bs’ it protects the company as well as the consumer…

…they can clearly define how certain things work within the bounds of the law and, as long as they are ‘legal’, they absolutely will hold up within a court…

We all know the reason they forced everyone to “upgrade” to OW2 is because a huge number of players would have stuck with OW1. OW2 is unpolished, unfinished, imbalanced, cash grabbing trash that doesn’t deserve the Overwatch name.

Oh to be as sad as to revel in enjoyment that someone else cannot play a game that they clearly have zero interest in playing :joy:

I think as a forum we really must drill deeper into this.

Let me remind you that back in the day when Jeff made those claims OW2 was still just the PVE with an upgraded PVP. The purchase was meant for the PVE and the visual upgrades of PVP where what was supposed to be merged.

I miss OW1. Really wish they’d make a classic mode in the arcade, but I don’t see that happening. Much less making a classic version of the game.

:sob:
