Girl… SHE COULD ALREADY DO THAT. Anas and Orisas are very common users of Sym TP. And with the old one they could go to RELEVANT places. Not just go from one point to another the whole match.

She’s only so strong because Sigma is in every game (usually with another shield) and she hard counters him. I still prefer Sym 2.0 but they robbed her shield gen, gave her beam to that fake support Moria and her barrier to Sigma
The irony i found from other nerf symm thread is that they say her beam felt oppressive or unfun to play against.
Remember when she didnt have to aim and had a lock on that bend thru walls and stuff?
Now that she aims her zarya beam it is still unfun to play against?
How come i never see a zarya nerf thread?
She is literally a better version of symm

The three easy to destroy turrets are what combines with her beam to do about the same max dps as Sombra, so I wouldn’t say she’s overpowered. Her turrets are her “crit” so to speak. But they’re a crit you have to shoot as opposed to Sym aiming for your head.
Ah, But you forget to mention all her downsides like No mobility… A way bigger hitbox, no damage unless people shoot at her beam… Oh and she has a 15 yard range.
But since we want to list all of the positives ?
Symmetra =
100 Self regen HP.
195 DPS+ Her turrets
120 Dmg direct hit Orbs+60 Splash damage which charges very fast and shoots out very fast.
Map wide 5000 HP barrier
Insane mobility with the ability to literally get to any point on the map aslong as it is not a slope
Oh and she has in theory infinite ammo if the enemy has a shields.
Tp change is a huge nerf to her survivabilty. Her disengage mechanic is now available less often. You can destroy it right away for the same cooldown as before, but you lose 10sec of active tp where you can escape, poke in for damage, and it also becomes a much more selfish ability if destroyed right away. Teammates wont ever get value out of get tp is sym only uses or for herself to preserve the cooldown.
She could move everyone to high ground with her old tp. She could actually do it more often and change locations with the flow of the teamfight. The only thing tp can do now that it couldnt before is be a spawn taxi, which is one of the reasons they fully reworked her kit before, because she was too reliant on her team to get value.
squishy with no in demand/instant defensive ability, all abillity have charge up/delays
turrets can be easily destroyed while flying ( a flying turret has 1 hp ) and can one be shot by melee and splash damage
beam starts at 65 while zarya starts at 90
barrier can be easily deleted by emp like its nothing, all that hard work just to see it disappear so quickly
turret no longer slow stack
Tp suffer from long cooldown upon destruction
symmetra have the most counter in the game
oh and dont forget Zaryas Ultimate is a game changer with team wipe capability and thats coming from a tank and not a dps, symm on the other hand have a tank ult that looks so out of place from the rest of her kit.
also zarya has cleanse ability via bubble and can save a team from ultimates like pulse bomb that is already attached to you, photon barrier cant do this.
It’s amazing she’s doing well after all Symmetra mains (yes, all three of them) cried about the recent changes made to her teleporter made her unplayable. Lol.
I don’t think people said she’d be unplayable. But the TP was definitely nerfed and is now a boring set and forget ability.
Everyone (at least everyone that I remember) was expecting her to be about the same… since 2-2-2 is a ‘buff’ to her, and beam weapons got fixed (buffed).
