Playing tank really isn’t that bad. Controlling spaces and mitigating important damage is fun in its own way.

I mostly soloQ. Not sure what a 6 stack would do for tank play, since your role doesn’t change based on the number of people in your group. Though I do know of people who will only ever tank in groups with friends because then they can eat all the resources thinking that’s how tanking should be.

2020 tank means when your abilities are on cooldown you turn into a Support having to cover creep along a map or else you feed.

As a tank, if you blow all your abilities every encounter and play flawlessly…you still accomplish less than a DPS player of middling skill who just mashes left click.
Work harder, do less, accept all the blame and get no glory or statisfaction. That’s what being an Overwatch tank means.

I like strategizing, shot-calling, and playing quarterback so I enjoy tank. Especially as a main tank, you get to control the flow of fights and decide when to engage/back off. I think it’s more interesting than just trying to click heads. It’s just a bonus that the queues are normally the shortest.

For sure. I don’t need to be the one filling up the kill feed to know when I’m popping off. Tanks might not be as flashy but they have more control over most situations than a DPS.

Is… is this a joke? Your role may not change but your team’s competence most definitely will. Most of the time.
Playing tanks with a team that is genuinely working together (more often than not, stacked teams), is a much better and tolerable experience. But all in all, the tank category hurts to play like a good 65% of the time in my experience.
Just me I guess.

I was a Rein main… but nowadays… I dont jave fun in playing him anymore. Because when I do fine they just swap to tankbusters and my nightmares continue…

Being a CC sponge isn’t what I call to be very fun.

I only feel that way on Anubis & Havana on the other roles

I only play Ball or Winston on Anubis. Ball if I can get him.
I don’t care if I play like a bronze, I’d rather try to have fun than get spammed to death in a doorway on any 2CP.
Similarly, I’ll try double barrier on Havana but Sniperwatch is never enjoyable unless I’m Ball and don’t give a hoot about a sniper
