What sort of feedback are you hoping to get though? Like… They spent time and money on the character. Assets made for his abilities, emotes, the robot voice, and all the other things that will come with it. They aren’t going to get rid of it all. It’s already complete and being tested by many players. Many of whom like him because he answers a lot of gripes people have had with new characters lately.
- A new Tank.
- High skill ceiling and floor
- A unique kit that isn’t like really any other character.
It’s the same thing for all of the heroes in the game. Even in the case of a character DYING in the lore, they will still be in the game. Because people worked for golden guns, currency for items, or even spent money on OWL skins for each and every character in the game. Erasing a character, no matter how ridiculous or weak or broken they are, would erase many players’ hours of fun and love for that hero. Every character has a main.
They’ve worked on Wrecking Ball for months now, as usually they have 2 or 3 heroes at different stages of development at any time. They probably already have the groundwork on the abilities for Hero 29. The game is a machine and Blizzard have planned where that machine’s parts will go. The best we can do is tellthem where we would like it to go,because we don’t really have any say in whether they do what they do. Making the game is fun to them as well, and judging by Jeff’s face in the developer update when he revealed Hammond, they probably loved making him. They will just shrug you off.

those threads are getting out of hand…what the hell is wrong with people taking A GAME that serious? It is to have fun and I bet the devs had a lot of fun creating the lil hamster…of course there are other thoughts mixed in it (hello merchandise) but still cool idea
maybe ask the players from the overwatch league how much of a GAME it is to them. of course i am not a professional and i assume the majority of people here arent either but we still have a voice and it should be heard

Either way – no. Hammond has nothing “cartoonish” to him outside of his appearance. He’s a serious tank that does indeed require a little bit of practicing to use effectively.
By that logic, we shouldn’t have Junkrat either.
