I have been suspended 10+ times/silence for verbal ‘abuse’
yet all i did was respond to people insulting me and flaming me for no reason.
I recently got unbanned for ‘gameplay conduct violation’
all i did was play widow and not swap

You should be able to play the hero you want when you want.
Just tell people they are toxic and that Jeff doesn’t want them in the game. I’ve done this a few times.

I feel you about not swapping widow. However some people can get confused by it as torb and widow can often be heros people swap to when they are throwing. I would say try to be verbal about your intent so people don’t get confused.
Clearly though if you have been suspended 10 times for verbal abuse it must be beyond simply responding. Just remember the mute button allows you to shut out the haters and retains your ability to make call outs.
They actually do. I have an alternate account I wanted to get lower (I got it to diamond years ago with mercy back when she was OP) so I joined a throw group on that account. It was a six man where we all decide to lose.
We still got reported by the enemy team. We didn’t sit at their spawn or anything, but we absolutely ignored the point.
That account got banned for an entire season as a result.
