I had the same problem but I think I figured it out. For me, it seemed to apply to heroes where I had settings overrides.
The way I fixed them was to fix them in the Options screen OUTSIDE of a game. So from the main menu, pick OPTIONS, Controls, and fix the settings there one hero at a time. It’s annoying but addressed the issue for me.
