People need to stop exaggerating how hard it is to hit Tracer

I’m not even a Tracer main… nor did you say Tracer, you brought up Genji and Doomfist.

Edit: lol you added it after I pointed it out. coolio.

eventually you will figure it out

Welcome to the world of counters my friend. Balance means that you don’t always get your way and some characters will be a danger to some other characters. Also Brig isn’t gutted, she just can’t one shot anymore.

People exclaimed it was a team game when Brigitte was overpowered so I’ll repeat the same here. It’s a team game, let your team peel for you. If a Brigitte stun isn’t a counter, if flashbang isn’t a counter, if a 0.65 second hack isn’t a counter, if the multitude of Tracer one shots that exist in this game isn’t a counter then the counter that you want will never exist in this game.

Good luck in your future games.

It’s literally that difficult if you play support (minus Brig), and tolerable at best if you are good at DPS and play characters that are good against her. My main Mei is far from worst choice, but still easy to abuse for any half-decent Tracer if you aren’t good enough to instakill her with projectile that has cast time and travel time. Oh, and anything less than headshot, and good Tracer just recalls it like it never happened.

Now you should understand why i’m not exactly Tracer fan.

I find it hilarious that one of the weakest DPS in the game with both very high barrier for entry and skill cap is still complained about on this forum. Criers even got their overpowered brainded hero that will never be really nerfed and still continue to whine.

You would think that everyone here was playing in the Overwatch league and not really mainly plat and lower players who face no real threat from Tracer. Ironically it’s the higher tier players that complain about her the least unless they’re on a character that she counters and people will never stop complaining about their counters.

The funniest thing is that these same people(some in this very thread) were 100% fine with a mind numbingly easy to use hard counter versus Tracer but now that they have to put in effort to counter Tracer suddenly counters are a problem.

Big difference between getting countered and getting oppressed.

and Brig is getting gutted because she is getting no compensation for the stun nerfs. And to think that other team mates will follow up on her stuns is laughable. They tried that with Hog and we saw how that turned out.

She was introduced into the game to help defend the backline. When you take away the tools she needs then she can’t do that anymore.

These changes will make the game worse for bronze and silver players.

Bronze and silver players don’t have trouble against Tracer(as evidenced by her winrates) and the game isn’t balanced around Bronze and silver players.

A Bronze Tracer can do nothing against a Moira, one clip is not in their vocabulary.

I find that ironic too. What’s interesting that even GM healer mains were generally fine with Tracer, many Ana/Zen players at this level are capable of winning duels with flankers.

Entitlement in this community is off-limit. People want to have extremely easy answer against good players on difficult heroes that don’t even get to play against.

smurfs are a thing. Been one clipped several times in a game. you may say that is a separate issue but having a strong brig kept then out of my games.

She is the hardest to hit but that doesn’t mean she’s that hard to hit. With how large the hitboxes are in this game it’s no wonder she gets one-shot by something literally every game. Hanzo doesn’t have to hit someone in the head to get a headshot. He just needs to hit the air around them…

I’ve been meeting very dumb Tracers who dont respect my hero’s damage recently, they came to me a Symmetra and expect to kill me in my range when i can 1 tap them, maybe you should be positioning you better before thinking that Tracer is easy to hit? She is very difficult to hit, but not impossible even more easier in close range. you should only get very close when you know that you can get out, saving Recall and at least 1 Blink.

If a higher level player is smurfing in your games you’re going to get wrecked by any dps.

And if you need a character to be so strong that they can instantly defeat players high above your skill level I don’t think you are 100% interested in fair balance.

There’s nothing to figure out

:I

are you sure?

I also play on console. It’s mind boggling that Tracer is unchanged between console and PC. Her hit box and mobility are the same even though console aiming is far harder to do.

Maybe this wouldn’t be an issue if consoles had decent aim assist options. The truth is Tracer has needed console nerfs since the game’s release. Her over performing on PC suggests she also needs a nerf there too.

The thread isn’t arguing for her stats though, it’s arguing how easy she is to hit

Yep. Not a Tracer main, both Doomfist and Genji are at heavy disadvantages against Tracer. An Ex-McCree main, a decent amount of hours on Hog, and a hefty amount of hours on Widowmaker.

I may have hours on Tracer, but it’s not like she’s my main and I don’t play people who counter her or who she counters.

So there is nothing to figure out

Great point. I started on console and felt like I was a beast on Tracer. Coming to PC was a painfully harsh awakening though. I would blink, and Hanzos and McCrees would spin around and instakill me before I even knew where I was myself. :joy:

People need to stop saying Tracer never one-clips people. I play Moira and get repeatedly one-clipped by the Tracer hounding me while I’m juking all over the place. There are people who can aim in a shooting game.
