Why do you lose SR when 3 or more people leave your team? It’s not fair that you lose SR because people on your team are leaving. Especially when it’s 3+ people leaving.
When 1 person leaves your team it’s almost always significant enough to cause your team to lose the match.
Leavers often bail out when the team is struggling, which means your team would most likely have lost anyway even if they didn’t leave.
The reason why the system is like this is because Blizzard has no idea of knowing if your team would have won (or draw-ed) the enemy team, and Blizzard has no idea of knowing why they left (rage-quit, d/c, power outage, etc.)
For fairness, Blizzard keeps it this way to ensure that players only gain SR when they win and that players don’t maintain their current SR when they should be losing it.
The best course of action would be to implement stronger penalties for leavers.
If they dont let yoh lose SR then i can see it being exploited
I mean I understand it could be exploited but the team missing a person could at least lose less SR. I’ve had people leave my team when we had a clear advantage. I’ve also seen that happen on the other team and you could make it so it does not apply to people that are/were in groups. Also one more question, what makes the game shut down for a person leaving. Other times my team is contesting the point and someone leaves then the game shuts down but other times nothing the game continues.
