Patch notes are up (arguing time!)

Ignoring the people always crying about him. Felt like he always needed a small rework because his passive was not really great and trap wasn’t really going to be decent other than what Hog got.

Widow desperately needed that change to her range falloff with the increased HP. I hope it’s enough I am glad they aren’t just driving her into obscurity. She’s so much fun to play as. Also thank goodness soldier was touched.

I feel those changes to Zarya are crazy. She’s going to be melty mc melterson.

This patch is exactly what I would have expected from these devs.

The fact that every character didnt get a projectile size revert is enough of a reason for me to continue playing apex instead

yea im pleasantly surprised by the falloff buff. i still dont think that will make her meta, it will still be dive ball comp with tracer and genji?/sombra (since sombra just destroys widow)

I kinda have the same fear but seems like the only reason she got buff is to nerf dva

Agree with this. This is so dumb.

Good changes overall.

Illari cooldowns reduction is exactly what she needs I think. 6s is still a lot to reposition but let’s see.

Zarya - didn’t need high end buff IMO, just low end.

Tracer - probably won’t nerf her and makes her miserable in mid range. She is already awfull there and occasionaly hitting Pharah/Echo/Soldier on a position was helpful. I think we need to go back with bullet size and fall-off but less spread as a buff. I could be wrong - just my hypothesis to check.

Or my second hypothesis - just go back with bullet size. +25 HP and removed some one-shots is already buffing her well.

Overall I think increasing bullet’s size was a miss on most heroes. Maybe it was good for some. MAYBE

-20% debuff global passive - absolutely unnecessary, lazy and will hurt the game in many ways. DPS would be fine without it especially with increased HP. Nerf healing a bit for some heroes if you need to attack sustain

Yeah for Illari buffs, shame she took a nerf too but it’s fine.

No Mauga changes and a weak Roadhog buff that won’t help him majority of the time.

Zarya keeps getting handed W buffs.

Zenyatta nerf I’m ok with. Would like a buff to transcendence but it’s fine at the moment.

Hanzo nerf gave me a chuckle because his mains though he’d be terrible without his one shot. They are wrong.

No Symmetra buffs, but hey good for you Junkrat. Here’s your pity cupcake :cupcake:

Widows falloff damage getting changed wasn’t needed.

Yeah, guess I’m still gonna stick to arcade mode and just play other games. Tekken 8 doing great btw.

This is insane. And not in a good way.

Buff Zarya which is already super annoying to deal with and then nerf Zen in a way that does not even address the issue with his ability to help melt tanks.

Also wanted to see a small buff to Anas healing. She went from like S or A+ tier to B. Bumping her up to a solid A or B++ would have been nice. :stuck_out_tongue:

Ya I thought maybe that is why too. But is every tank really picking to counterpick her with Zarya? I feel not everyone can do that. Also the answer to that is just pick Rein soon as they swap and even if you don’t know rein you negate most of what they want to do. If people playing rock paper scissors in OW the best move is to be the one forcing others to switch.

Ya she’s still going to have a hard time with all the high mobility/dive heroes being good. A bit more range and less charging time is very beneficial. She def isn’t going to be meta tho if Lucio, Tracer, Echo, Dva, Genji, and Echo are all strong and imo her competition is stronger than her in the DPS department even if they weren’t all strong.

I don’t think Sombra is even good right now I have like a 15% win rate with her in Comp she feels awful at everything but killing widowmaker. I have had good runs with her in prior seasons in comp so she just feels kinda bottom of the barrel to me atm but it could be I just need to adjust with her more. Still it feels bad to be countered by one and it feels bad to only have one great use as Sombra. She doesn’t really counter Doom or Ball that hard now imo hack isn’t enough by far.

I tried not switching off vs Sombra and you are entirely dependent on twitch kills, baiting her, and relying on supports. You just feel like you drag your team down 8 out of 10 times.

I can’t tell if this is a joke or not.

We must keep the dream alive brother. That said it would be way too strong in current OW state. It did feel so crisp and good to use though RIP.

I think it was funny that in Alec described Genji as “doing really well.” And he was already dominant to start with. And nothing was done to address him. Just /facepalm.

No other hero relied on it like he did. So, that is a false comparison.

And let’s be clear, Junkrat combo was not the problem before. It was the heroes that could more reliably and more easily burst someone down instantly and were played 2+ times as much as him.

I am not convinced they were surprised. They might play it up that way, but they really aren’t that stupid. I just don’t buy that they didn’t know exactly what they were doing.

Probably some Plat Genji main Dashed & Right clicked him to death. That can be traumatizing

You’re complaining about cheesy counter-picks but you main Sombra. You see the irony in that? lol

I thought he did 130 dmg from primary? Was that nerfed?

Maybe they’ll buff it back to 130 again, and he’ll be able to one-shot with primary + mine.

I don’t like Widowmaker getting falloff back. That’s my main rant atm.
