[Pakistan] Overwatch keeps disconnecting me from the game after a few seconds

Please if U can attach a screenshot of the game disconnect with the graph do so, I will attach video link again below which U can maybe attach with your complain and take a screenshot from it of the GRAPH when disconnect happens and attach it to Ur complain so they can see it’s the same issue for everyone, please remind them that OW IPs are being throttled/blocked and we are getting disconnected from BLIZZARD SERVERS.

Other than this we can call their number or email, or register more complaints about OVERWATCH DISCONNECTING due to PTA blocking it.

We have to register a complaint, open the ONLINE COMPLAINT FORM and attach a screenshot of graph or maybe link of this disconnect video I will share below as well.

Select Service Type as Internet Services, Select Ur ISP
and select complaint nature as either
Faulty/Disruption in Broadband or Miscellaneous Complaint

Do mention that OVERWATCH is being disconnected due to PTA throttling/blocking IPs and we get disconnected from Blizzard Servers. This has been going on since around March and make sure we all share the same kind of complaints so they notice and whitelist overwatch or fix this damn issue. Other than this we can email them or call their toll free number but I think this method might work. Please do fill out the complaint form and submit a complaint. Let’s all get this fixed since we are on our own.

OVERWATCH GAME (BLIZZARD) DISCONNECTING

Hello this has been going on since March. I think when PTA started throttling-blocking IPs and VPNs. Our game OVERWATCH also now gets throttled and blocked. We haven’t been able to play at all since then. We connect to the game login, join a match and then it disconnects us from its servers. We have contacted our ISPs as well as Blizzard to fix this but they don’t have a problem at their ends and it’s PTA who is blocking our access to BLIZZARD SERVERS. Please kindly whitelist OVERWATCH or fix this issue, we cannot even connect to its servers anymore and it disconnects us as soon as we start a match.

It has to do with the event that occurred in March, where PTA throttled VPNs all over Pakistan to combat money laundering and tax-evading individuals and companies (also to combat coomers).

The way Overwatch.exe communicates (including hero inputs, outputs, stats, vc, and text chat) between server and client (us) may trigger PTA’s system to throttle the connection. For this reason, I think Overwatch is the only game that gets blocked,like Rocket League used to get blocked. It doesn’t hinder our movement (upload works) and this is proven because my friends and teammates have said that they can see me move wherever I command my hero. However, we are not able to see teammates and enemies move, they’ll freeze for you (download blocked/throttled).

I am providing links below of the FORUM of this problem as well as a video which shows what happens when we enter a match. I also attached a screenshot of the in-game graph which shows that packets get to 0 and the game just disconnects, this doesn’t happen with any other game or service or app. It’s just OVERWATCH. This issue is happening with most of OVERWATCH players from Pakistan using multiple ISPs. Kindly resolve this issue, let us connect to OVERWATCH Servers so we can play again.

I just got kicked, dropped rank and have an hour long suspension. Am I supposed to wait until this country’s telecommunication ministry get’s their **** together, or can Blizzard do something to prevent all the negative consequences at the start of matches when players from this IP region disconnect?

What is Blizzard doing about this?

Why the hell should I continue supporting this game when you will happily sit by while the 5th largest country by population can’t even get some sort of leniency with an issue outside of their control?

Also please respond to the fact that Rocket League devs managed to fix this issue themselves, and why you aren’t pursuing the same solution.

How do you show the network like that on screen?

Update as of 4 hours later and 15 ranked 3v3 games that went without a problem, the first ranked role queue I entered had the same problem and now I have an 8 hour suspension and another 50SR drop. Don’t tell me Blizzard can’t do anything about this, it’s simply unacceptable. There is an issue in ranked games only. It is a bug of your system. Doesn’t happen on any other game type.

Update: Ok so it does happen in other modes.

Dude its random trust me now after the update my game is fine i bin playing touch wood nothing happen i still think its not PTCL OR ANYTHING ITS THE GAME ITSELF

I started getting server lost connection after I switch to a different internet modem in the last 3 days. I have tried the fixes on this post " Overwatch Disconnection Problems", but they don’t seem to work. Plz help, thanks!

I think you’re just lucky abhi. I have had months without these problems and since the past 3ish weeks they’re back daily, and getting worse.

if it doesn’t work well running game from battle.net app launch the game directly from its game icon on desktop

What will that do? if we launch the game from the desktop ? xD

Please Everyone contact PTA, call their number or register an online complaint in their Consumer Support Complaint Portal. We have to get their ear and attention to solve this issue, I thought for a while it could be a third party causing an issue somewhere along the route, but given it’s happening on Europe, Middle East and Singapore too it could either be a problem with the game or their servers not accepting traffic from our side or it could be PTAs garbage system blocking and preventing us to play.

We all can also maybe contact them on TWITTER and let them know what our problem is, about time we annoyed them as we have been for so long.

This is what Rocket League Devs said about this :
“To the best of our knowledge right now, this appears to be an issue at the ISP level involving how the Pakistani government is treating the game packets. We are working on a resolution but I have no time table as of now.”

They weren’t able to completely resolve the issue but Middle East servers of Rocket League became functional again.

I just got dc’d again after being one game from restoring my rank

then stop playing comp my dude, U know there is an issue, use a vpn or gpn until it’s fixed or U are gonna derank yourself and maybe others along the way sometimes, yes U are supposed to wait like all of us cuz there is nothing anyone like Blizzard or ISPs have done to fix this sadly
