2020 was actually shaping up to be a massive year for OWL. And then it just… couldn’t be. Everything had to be thrown away.
Hopefully they can start to build some of that momentum again this year. Activision-Blizzard certainly has the money to keep the teams afloat.
its possible they could but they have to first get the game in a good position balance wise otherwise no ones going to care.
which is a big reason why the OWL has gone down hill overall. ppl loved the OWL early on but when goats took over ppl only really watched matches when they were getting drops.
the league needs to not only give teams ways to make real money but they need to give people a reason to want to watch.
and non OW players arnt likely going to watch when the game is far to complicated for non players.
