That was the best match ever

Bans work fine for OWL because they’re professional players skilled at all heroes in their role who play once a week. They do not need to endure leavers, griefers, trolls, smurfs, or toxic players which can arise from one’s favourite hero(es) being banned for a week.

Bans do not work on ladder because ladder players are not professional players who are skilled at one or a few heroes in different roles who play several times a week, if not daily. They have to endure leavers, griefers, trolls, smurfs, or toxic players which can arise from one’s favourite hero(es) being banned for a week.

But thankfully we have Comixfan to jump into VC with us, and keep everything calm

yeah, and they know when to change heroes and flex and counter like all comp players should try to aspire to.

ah yes, so you are comparing normal people to olympic sprinters, why can’t someone who never works out run as fast and make an interesting competition…
please think this through before posting… it isn’t a fair comparison in any sense of the word…

You can’t use OWL as an example or even a template for how things work in the actual game the other 99.995% of players actually have access to.

Not just that - OWL is an entirely different game mode. Comp is not tournament structure. If they want to add in-game tournaments with hero pools I don’t think anyone would complain (in fact, it’s a feature many have been asking for for years…) but instead it just gets shoved into comp, which is basically qp+.

Speak for youself dude. Im not even close but my goal is to be able to fit my hero choice for any situation, while playing them equally at the same level. Plus, all the toxicity existed before the bans anyway, there is no difference in regards to that. But at least we are actually seeing variety in our games… what’s sad is we had to be forced to do it but that’s on us not the devs.

Between 222 and hero ban they have denied me the ability to truely flex anymore and it drives me crazy… yet I, 100%, stand behind both of these decisions. Players need to learn.
