The only way to get rid of these boring mirror matches is to change OWL rules. Pro players shouldn’t allowed to pick the same heroes over and over and over again.

Imagine how the reasons for goats had always been other reasons than dva and lacking counters. Like Zarya, rectangle man having otherwise uncounterable ulti and aoe healing. gasps

Did you really think goats will die? The best composition in the game by far is going to die because reaper got buffed? Goats is not boring to watch if you know how to play it and know how it works. But OWL target audience is casuals and low platinums who dont have any understanding on the game and how it works.

Do you really think its just holding W and Mouse 1? Goats is probably the most complicated comp to play good in top level. You have to know how to counter play everything the other team throws at you. I dont expect you to know anything about goats because you are low platinum but i will try to summarize. You have to outplay the other rein with your rein to block shatters, discord orbs, and other spam from getting to your team that would lose you the game. You have to bubble the rein at the right moment so he can get the ideal ult charge and pressure to the other rein. You also have to worry about purging discord orbs from your rein with bubble because if your rein has discord orb active you lose. Do you understand where im going with this? Goats is the best comp for coaches and analyst to play around because they can introduce a lot of new starts to play and work on perfecting them. Goats isnt boring to watch or to play if you understand how to play and have played it. I dont expect you to have ever played goats in higher than plat or T7 scrim level. Goats will not die unless blizzard heavily nerfs tanks and healers or deletes brig.

people want the pro scene to more accurately reflect like, mid diamond play. where everyone is counterpicking constantly. thats how OW is supposed to be played. dive mirrors is not as interesting. but it is sure as hell better than GOATS mirrors because goats sucks and will absolutely kill the game if they dont fix brigitte with a full rework or just remove her from the game.

No but for real, there are variations and sometimes you see dive, depends on the map. But if you dislike GOATS so much it makes you sleep, you shouldnt see it.

Moth meta was probably the most diverse, tbh. Supports aside of course.
GOATS is just not going to vanish overnight in the league. That’s what most teams have spent the past months practicing, they aren’t just going to try every comp all willy-nilly and see what sticks, and they are less likely to invest time in any sort of strategies unless they’re absolutely sure it works (or they are in a situation when there’s nothing to lose).
As much as pro-play influences the ladder,I’d make the case the latter is way more flexible when it comes to trying new things than the former.

A live chess broadcast isn’t boring for a similarly stretched definition of interesting. Some people find trainspotting interesting for god’s sake.
Most people don’t.
Might be time to consider whether your definition of interesting aligns with most people’s.

Why do you have problems with GOATs ? If you understand a bit what’s going on, it’s super interesting.
The irony of how the game was ten times more balanced had far less hard-hard counters and had more variety in pro league before blizz brought in brig to cripple the only time overwatch had a meta.

Oh, I’m well aware of that. Which means that I saved $14.99 by not buying the All Access Pass, and it gives me time to do other things instead of watching it at all.
Hey, I’m okay with that. I started an year-long subscription to Marvel Unlimited end of December and am reading the entire Ultimate Marvel Universe run. Then want to read the Jonathan Hickman “Avengers” run for Time Runs Out, then Secret Wars, then Secret Empire. I have plenty of other things to do. 
Remove OWL.
Balance the game around gameplay not around spectacting.
