Man, we’re already at the final weekend of regular season matches…holy cow, time flies by so quickly.
Anyway…Defiant 3-1 and Houston 3-1. Let’s dance!
There was no fight on the first round on kings row
Michelle is throwing… straight up
This is the weirdest match I have ever seen ngl
2 gravs at nothing…and I dont think there was much defense so far in this match
Point B was non existent
But this music tho catJAM
Is that overwatch league perks button which showcases that we’re gaining tokens supposed to be green now instead of pink?
Is that normal or is there some sort of problem?
Its normal now… for a reason.
Aight, thanks. I don’t need to start messing with anything if the green dot shows it’s working as intended.
And after a very long, and very strange, 5 map series between the Eternal and the Defiant…the Toronto Defiant deny the Paris Eternal’s reverse sweep attempt and keep their hopes for a Top 2 seed in the Countdown Cup Knockouts alive.
FINAL (Match 1)
Oasis (Control): Toronto Defiant 2, Paris Eternal 1.
Volskaya Industries (Assault): Toronto Defiant 3, Paris Eternal 2.
King’s Row (Hybrid): Paris Eternal 6, Toronto Defiant 5.
Route 66 (Escort): Paris Eternal 3, Toronto Defiant 2.
Nepal (Control Tiebreaker): Toronto Defiant 2, Paris Eternal 1.
FINAL SCORE: Toronto Defiant 3, Paris Eternal 2
TORONTO DEFIANT WINS!
The Defiant now just need a win with any result to clinch a Top 2 seed in the Countdown Cup Knockouts. The Defiant also clinch a spot in the play-ins for their troubles. For the Eternal, I’m afraid, they’ll need to make up a lot of ground in their final match to stave off the threat of being knocked out of the play-ins by Florida.
Speaking of Florida, their match is about to kick off. The Mayhem will need to grab a victory to stay ahead. Their first opponent of the week: The Houston Outlaws, who are in a race to grab the 3rd seed in the West Region standings. Will the Mayhem get a late season surge? Or will the Outlaws move ahead of the Shock in the standings…at least, for now? We’re about to find out, so grab yourself a 6-pack of your favorite age-appropriate beverage, get some snacks (I got some peanuts and chips at my desk at the moment), and settle down into your favorite chair for what is hopefully a much higher quality match than today’s first match. Let’s rock and roll!
And after a 5-map whirlwind of a series, which included a draw on Blizzard World, the most razor-thin of time bank margins on Volskaya Industries, and a sleep dart essentially ending it all…the Houston Outlaws come out on top!
Busan (Control): Houston Outlaws 2, Florida Mayhem 0.
Volskaya Industries (Assault): Florida Mayhem 3, Houston Outlaws 2.
Blizzard World (Hybrid): Florida Mayhem 3, Houston Outlaws 3 (DRAW).
Route 66 (Escort): Houston Outlaws 3, Florida Mayhem 2.
Ilios (Control Tiebreaker): Houston Outlaws 2, Florida Mayhem 0.
FINAL SCORE: Houston Outlaws 3, Florida Mayhem 1
HOUSTON OUTLAWS WINS!
The Houston Outlaws get a foothold on the Top 3 in the West Region Standings, at least for the moment, and now the pressure is on the Shock to get a victory against the Vancouver Titans tomorrow.
And with that, matches for tonight have concluded. Matches resume at 2am Pacific (5am Eastern) with Day 1 of Week 3 of APAC Countdown Cup matches. For now, enjoy the rest of your evening. Be sure to always stay hydrated and check in on your neighbors! Until tomorrow morning, I’m Arena25, saying Good Night and Charlie Niners.

Aaah yes I understand now.
