Back when watching OWL in OW1 Europa, NA and Asia played so differently it was fun to watch from time to time.
They ban Ana because of the player, not because of the character. There is this pro player Shu. He’s the admin server because he’s that good.
Most forumers don’t know who that is. They think throw nade on tank = Shu in terms of skill

What was the result of those bans?
Cause who gets banned is not necessarily as intriguing as what it does to the game. if a ban just forces something else instead that’s not really doing much
Like I didn’t watch a whole lot this weekend but just about every time I looked over I would see a kiriko or a Juno or Mauga (still) or Winston….sojourn was still in like every match and she was almost always paired with tracer or genji or pharah
IE - the variety didn’t exactly increase
It’s so satisfying seeing that after making several rant posts about how unhealthy she is for the game and being told that crap all the time. It takes no skill/effort to swap to her and counter characters who can’t touch her, but you actually need good aim when you swap to hitscan to deal with her, especially when she has a Mercy permanently attached to her.

it makes sense at the pro level. You can’t really stop grenade and it forces your team to play certain heroes.
She won’t be banned as near as much in the live game.
I’ve stated before that bans was something I’m willing to try. My stance is more neutral whether they’re in the game or not. I play multiple heroes in each role and am okay with any outcome.
My question is, players are already getting bent out of shape at the thought of their teammates banning their preferred hero. How exactly is all this going to be established that they should know your hero when
- Some players don’t communicate in text or VC.
- Some players keep their profile hidden.
- Some players take it personally no matter what, even though the priority is the enemy.
- Some players who are performing the ban pick have had a bad experience and are butthurt.

There are multiple posts from people being weird about it, saying they’ll throw the match if their teammates ban their fav heroes. The community as a whole is looking real silly right now on the forums.
I’m asking because I don’t know. Guess we’ll find out tomorrow.
It’s almost like it’s a team game and other roles exist in said game besides dps
Except echo requires 500x more skill than pharah
For me it just points out that some heroes/ comps are unbalanced or that some heroes have glaring issues with their design.

, but in the later: Nah, it’s biotic grenade’s anti-heal 100000% (on top of her other perks because she’s already a pretty good hero).
Even if her nade did no negative stuff to enemies she would still be a god damn good hero -supposing they’d buff the AOE and duration a bit. Let that sink in.
You would be surprised. Apparently it takes specialized knowledge, I guess? I am still not going to ban her though. She is a fun skill check. And my Sistah Spice mains her. I have no incentive to contribute to the hysteria.

I consider myself to be a good Ana (comparing to the other sups I play ) but that old hag needs to be stopped.
There’s nothing more frustrating that playing Hog, Junker Queen, Mauga, Reinhardt and seeing a swap to Ana. The “Tank battlefield” changes completely when she’s on the field. That does NOT happen to any other sup swap (not even the speedsters).
It just like seeing a Pharah swap when your dps are Junkrat and Genji.

But… WHY??? This forum has assured me on multiple occasions that “Ana is fine”. Why would they ban a mid hero??
Surely Genji must have been the #2 most banned, right? 
Just do -50% healing, that’s plenty strong. It’s double the damage passive for twice as long, you’re not gonna be playing aggressively when you get hit with that.
The difference between 50% and 100% is that you can still hold your ground if necessary instead of being forced to run and hide.
