as I stated, there is no “belief” involved here - only the forum rules

as this is now full clarified, I wont be discussing it further in this side chat

I have not ignored any element of this thead or the subject matter involved

first, although some players declare (incorrectly, most of the time) that they only make positive posts, negative posts are permissible within the subject matter

second, there are many forum members with multiple accounts, and those accounts have existed for years in some cases. This doesnt seem to be a problem

even then, there are many forum accounts created only recently where the forum member has been reading since the beginning. As such, the person piloting a brand new account can be well versed in the topics and history of these forums

as such, no the above does not prove that this is an alt account, and of course, this doesnt seem to be an actual issue in any case. Mods: if I have this wrong, please feel free to correct me. I do not wish to encourage behavior you dont want to see here

as noted above, this isn’t a “clearly” known thing at all, though one can believe this to be true if one wishes

Oh no, Overwatch won’t stand-out anymore, being yet another soulless shooter with shoddy balance.

No one will play it, favouring other games, causing the balancing and matchmaking to collapse.

Precisely. I bought Overwatch and it’s being taken away and replaced with something I don’t want. But I got 6 good years (well, probably 4 good years and the last two have been kind of crap) out of it, so still a good deal I suppose. Now that it’s 5v5 like every other game, guess I’ll have to see which of those I like best since at least they are more stable than this dumpster fire they have produced.

If they have announced at OW1 launch that the game will last only 6 years with 3 years of real support, I don’t think it would have sold just as well as it did.

Except it is not “just like everyone else”, but just an evolution of OW1 (OW1 also was in no way revolutionary as OW was just TF2 but updated). Your entire premise is flawed.

And many people hate OW1 and many people hate Doom Eternal and many people hate Elden Ring. Saying “many people hate” is the most empty argument ever because that can be said about anything.

So you just expect people with negative opinions to shut up? Don’t you know by know angry people comment more than positive ones? Everyone unhappy about OW2 never had a reason to yell before. Now you’re seeing them. Don’t like it? Get used to it or change OW2 back to OW.

Because I can’t play OW unless OW2 is deleted. It’s not about moving on, it’s about getting back what was lost.

You like to lie a lot dont you? Read what you reply to and say where I said I wanted people with negative opinions to “shut up”. People have been unhappy and yelling about OW2 from day 1 just as they have yelled about every OW patch from day 1. Going “back to OW1” would not remove the yelling but would simply change who is doing it.

The only “solution” to the yelling is to largely just accept that there is no solution where no one is going to yell and to just accept that there will always be people complaining.
