OW2 is a reverse No man's sky

It only ever has been. The people with the most complaints are the ones who have never correctly viewed it that way. It’s designed in a way so that all the parts work together, and any casual deadweight is likely to lose you the game. That’s why it’s hard for new players to learn and why people can’t just ignore the game’s core mechanics (using the right hero at the right time, hero swapping, building team comps) and still expect things to go well.

I think it is

I dont think anything short of guaranteeing the leaver a win every time they play will make them want to stay. Ultimately it is up to them, not Blizzard, whether they stay or not

so Blizzards approach is imo correct - create consequences for habitual leaving…make habitual leavers think twice against even queuing in the first place

and it seems to be working, based on my matches

There’s nothing that could possibly keep poor sports from leaving except for preventing them from joining another match. It wouldn’t matter if the game was perfect; they’d still find “reasons” to leave. Some people just can’t stand losing.

Why do people report when they simply don’t like a person’s post. That is NOT the purpose of the report button.

Because they can.

Simple as :+1:

I think it’s unfair to say OW became terrible. Stagnated, maybe, especially when taking into account what it could have been with a few less fumbles.
But it is true that stagnating isn’t a very good idea in this particular market.

(I’m assuming you meant to type “you say that as if it’s wrong”)
It is wrong lmao. Overwatch isn’t terrible.

And if you truly think it is:

  1. That’s like, just your opinion man. Plenty of people have fun playing the game. If you don’t then stop playing it
  2. It’s super weird and cringe for you people to be constantly on these forums if you really think the game is terrible and don’t enjoy it

I love these posts because they always make the shills mad lol. See above ^ lmao.

But it objectively isn’t.
Hello Games is looking to make a new game after turning an absolute dumpster fire into a success.
Blizzard is looking to re-implement the original game mode because they’ve had significant backlash over the failures of 5v5 and now a competitor, which is still doing strong, is breathing down their necks.
One is moving on with their success.
One is going backwards with their failure.

The forums exist to provide feedback and criticism on the game. The game is in a pathetic state currently. It is going to be criticised.

Theyd rather rework the entire game instead of nerf Ana

I don’t think you know what the word objective means lol.

Overwatch isn’t objectively terrible, but it might be subjectively terrible in some peoples opinions. And if people have that opinion but still spend a ton of time on the forum of that game thats super weird and cringe lmao

No, I fully understand what it means.
It is an objective fact that Blizzard is looking to the past with things like OWC and 6v6 because their current endeavours are bringing major backlash.

You think they would’ve gone through the effort of restoring old code from OW1 patches or creating the 6v6 patch if 5v5 was a glamorous success?

what are you talking about? in 6 years of watching the forum and changes, the players have never once affected the game.

The only ones who heard the complaints were NetEase.

Apparently not since you’re claiming Overwatch is objectively terrible lol. That is purely a subjective opinion, not an objective fact.

Casuals will always remain casuals, no matter the decade, no matter the country, no matter the game.

The “get good” argument never makes sense.

The job of a company is to create a product that takes into consideration the reality of things, which is a majority of average people and a minority of “elites”.

If a company loses its average consumers, then it failed miserably at its job.

Not necessary. You clearly don’t know what objective means if you’re claiming Overwatch is objectively terrible lol. That is a subjective opinion

Has this ever been true in any game ever? Developers can outright ignore most of the community’s expectations, so I’m not sure how that’s a valid critique? They’ve been doing this for the constant NERF WIDOW posts (correctly, IMO), so why not ignore a little more?

We didn’t need Overwatch 2. I know some people asked for 5v5, I personally talked to them on here, and those people should have been ignored. Especially since people are STILL complaining.

If people are going to complain anyway, then you do what the game needs and not what people claim they want. “Community expectations”, that’s an excuse for a dying brand that’s too egotistical to check itself while it has the chance.

Well “literally” doesn’t mean literally anymore, so maybe objective and subjective can be colloquial synonyms too!

You assume 6v6 is gonna be back in 2025. Yeah, I’d like to wish everyone happy new year and merry going back to 5v5, cause ain’t no way 6v6 stays up even till the end of the season.

It was obvious OW"2" is gonna be a massive fail the moment the “delay” for story mode was announced. They wanted to chase Fortnite money, but instead of making a new IP, they killed the one, which while not as big as in 2016, had a built-in playerbase.
