You really, really don’t understand what you just said lmao, and you really, really don’t understand what racism is.

Please let this be a troll.

You know Mei is Chinese and Dva is Korean right?

This is pretty ignorant. Whether you agree that the OW devs should make it a priority is irrelevant - in what world are people from India or Egypt considered black? Black in modern context covers a lot more than “non-caucasian”. And yeah, if you think that Indian = black you’d be considered racist by a lot of people.

Honestly ridiculous how this has so many likes.

so what? who cares?..

Here we go again…

It has so many likes because the forums are racist and generally bigoted, not everyone but you can’t talk about representation here without people bombarding the thread with nonsense such as that comment.

Yes, OW is pool full of racist and bigot people. Because having plenty of black men in the cast and dark coloured women dont count even if a “true” black woman is already announced. We all hate diversity. :man_facepalming: :man_facepalming: :man_facepalming: :man_facepalming:

I remember when Twitter blown up at Sigmas release because “another white male” He was the first pre launch one and the only one in Talon.

I mean, you just said “dark coloured women”

Do I need to explain why saying “coloured” is racist?

You guys saying to the OP “So what, who cares?” They care. People who want to feel included care. If you don’t care, then you should probably stop clicking these threads.

There’s nothing wrong with people wanting to feel like they can relate to a character in a video game.

You seem to be forgetting that kids play Overwatch too and maybe they want their hero to look like them? Same goes for dolls/action figures, or people on TV. Those are all hobbies and they want to feel represented. Nothing at all wrong with that.

Just move along if it bothers you.

How is it racist? What would you call it?

Yes, i want a carpathean hero but only because we are barely represented in any media in general and not to please the mandatory ethnical quota. Im not being racist at all but demanding diversity is worse than letting it flow by itself. Imagine if people wanted Adawe or Sojourn to be playable just because they are black and not because they have a major part in the Overwatch lore.

By region i guess? Afro-american/canadian and latina?

Purple colored women at least cant be questioned for Widow.

So certain region only have 1 skin color and cant possibly have multiple?

How is that trolling? My point is its obvious they value it. Sojourn was well known as an original design, yes, as a black female (which really ought not matter). She just wasn’t in the original set, and they have held off on the design to fit other niches that came up to try to fill to make OWL work. There is no sign of prejudice here at work, quite the opposite. Again, how is this trolling? Just because someone marches in demanding representation (on a character that IS even coming into the game) is quite astounding to try to say there is some fault here when the game is quite diverse.

The most liked comment implies that Indians are black people and then goes and calls someone else racist? Black is not an umbrella term for anyone non-Caucasian, for anyone just happening to be catching up from a nap since the early 20th century. Jesus Christ.

This is partially because Black and African American aren’t interchangeable.

I just got called racist for using the word coloured. Everyone seems to make up their own rules whats allowed to say and whats racist it seems.

Nice, edit you said coloured.

How is this any different than other posts asking for heroes from different countries? Theres not 1 amount of hate there, why is asking for a black woman (already highly under represented, mind you) any different???

Why is this post asking for a black woman from africa racist???

Care to explain why?
