That’s kind of my experience lately too. I don’t mind Reinhardt too much, but he is a necessity in each match. Usually it’s Q as tank and then watch the other tank insta-lock Ball. So then I have a choice to make. Play what I want, or play what the team needs.
I can do what the team needs for 3-4 games but eventually I am going to play what I want. Usually that results in a weird match where everyone is mad at the tanks, so I end up switching to Rein at the end, to a chorus of “SEE, IF YOU WOULD HAVE GONE REIN FROM THE START HUR DURR”.
Yeah, pretty much. This is also why I can’t play Zarya during a Rein Zarya meta. I lock Zarya and the other tank locks Roadhog, which is basically bad teammate language for “go Reinhardt or I throw”.

I’m so done with overwatch. They literally abandoned it for this #2 nonsense. sad days.

JamJam, please do not necrobump posts. Furthermore, there is very little point to simply ranting if you are no longer enjoying the game. If you have constructive criticism about what you do not like about the game that is fine, but you should start a fresh new topic and carefully explain what you are not enjoying.
this has been happening a lot, people are posting on 1-3 year old topics.
I know, rather just try to directly remind players on when they do it. The problem is that they often use a Google Search or see randomly sorted topics in the Suggestions list below any given thread.
well said, I think a big reason the game died is because Blizzard doesn’t listen to their fans like the old days. They don’t do it because they don’t need to, they are already powerful enough so as soon as you pay for the game, they don’t care about you (aside from brainwashing you into buying loot boxes and DLC).
I game is just for people with no lives who stockpiled copies of the game and could never sell them, as well as TT streamers who play mercy (and by play, I mean hold a button down).
It’s not that much, it took me less than 20 seconds to read.
what mistakes exactly? Fixing Overwatch should start form clear statement: ‘its a competetive game with consequences’ or ‘it’s casual game for everyone’. Most problems have the same core result: listening to players and their needs and wishes.
I agree with you completely, zarya and rein have been overpowered for a while now and no one seems to think so. I can get free wins on zarya as she is obviously op (she can press bubble and run into the enemy team and primary fire any squishy in 0.1 seconds) but after a while it just isn’t fun anymore and it is really depressing since she has one of the most boring and repetitive play styles. At this point I would rather play other tanks and lose sr or just wait 30 minutes for dps, no wonder no one plays tank. Support isn’t much better either and it would be worse if bap (an actually well designed hero) wasn’t released.
