IMO 360Hz tech isn’t mature enough so many of those premium monitors still have some serious issues. Unlike most other 360Hz monitors the Acer xv252qf got backlight strobing right so it has better motion clarity than the other 360Hz displays. Backlight strobing - similarly to PWM dimming - can cause eyestrain and headaches. I personally prefer displays that can provide acceptable motion clarity without backlight strobing, that’s something that is probably easier to pull off with TN panels.
I tried a few 360Hz monitors and had really hard time telling the difference between 240Hz and 360Hz - maybe because the motion clarity of the current 360Hz displays isn’t that good, this may improve with the next generation of 360Hz monitors in the next few years.
Another issue with the Acer xv252qf is that it’s only 1080p. 1440p is a HUGE upgrade that is very noticeable. IMO 1440p 240Hz is significantly better value than 1080p 360Hz especially because 360Hz isn’t mature enough.
