Overwatch PTR Patch Notes – April 18, 2019

A new Overwatch patch is in development and now available for testing! To share your feedback or report any issues, please post in the PTR Feedback or PTR Bug Report forums.

Please note that the below patch notes only include changes currently available for testing on the PTR. While many of these changes may also be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in a future patch, the PTR is PC-only and only reflects changes coming specifically to that platform.


New Map: Havana

Havana, a vibrant, historic port city where the winds of change blow strong, is home to Overwatch’s newest Escort map!

Begin your trip at the Taller de Sebastián, where the classic cars that line Havana’s bustling streets stop for refueling and repair. Escort a truck of rum barrels on the sun-drenched cobblestone roads, fighting off those who try to stop you. As you make your way, duck into a colorful building to escape enemy fire and savor the impressive flavors of Havana at La Cocina de Miranda or Café del Sol. Battle your opponents through the alleys until you reach the Don Rumbotico rum distillery, a once little-known local treasure that has recently earned international acclaim. Finally, guide the jalopy through the distillery to its destination at the Havana Sea Fort, a historical landmark recently purchased by an anonymous financial group and closed to the public.




  • Fixed text errors on Taller de Sebastián and several posters
  • Fixed a bug where players would slide along the bottom of the pillars and the wall corners on the second floor of La Euforia
  • Fixed an issue where players could become stuck on the Yucca plants

No hero changes also. I’m actually amazed right now. But must stay tuned for updates.


Cool map but its clear that double sniper will be used for it. Cant wait to get dinked from across the map with the only counter argument being “dont peek”. Fun. Very fun.


I think in this case it’s fine, it certainly saves the trouble of having to explain their reasoning all over again. It’s just those people that constantly advertise their posts all over the place, like they’re running a YouTube channel!

Yes the main issue with this game is the lack of cosmetics


well, can you name another hero that doesn’t have a victory pose or a highlight intro featuring their golden gun?

Wait. What? Only SYMMETRA? Weird that i’m so passionate about it.


Widowmaker comes to mind immediately. She has her weapon in only two different poses: default (which is lame), and this one pose where the gun is literally barely visible. It really bugs me because I want to see that beautiful Widow’s Kiss in the end screen.

I know, I know, I know calm down, Symmetra has none whatsoever, I was merely trying to relate! Jeez…

I have Widowmaker’s golden gun. I actually got it before Symmetra and I know exactly what you mean.

I also feel sorry for Winston, Mei, Pharah and Roadhog.

My point was it’s not like it’s some crazy balance changes, which is what people on here usually recommend when discussing sym and mercy

Well, since it’s time again for the hot stuff coming into the PTR the upcoming days, please, allow me to suggest a minor tweak for Doomfist!

Can we please get the 20 meter Seismic Slam range back? And if you are worried about the ‘burst’ damage being 80 while Slam is being targetted and you can see the indicator, cap it to 65 (the maximum damage it deals now when you target cast it) as a compensation, i guess.

I’m sure the majority of Doomfist players, including myself, often finding ourselves in situations where if we had the 20m range, some deaths would have been prevented, and some kills would have been secured.

ptr runs alot slower as live. 3770k + gtx970. epic settings without dynamic reflections and low fog. ptr 170fps vs 300fps live when i look at sky on training range. 1st thinked new map runs slow but all runs worse on ptr.

Its true and it’s still weird that you’re so passionate about it
