Overwatch PTR Patch Notes – April 26, 2021

A new Overwatch patch is in development and now available for testing! To share your feedback or report any issues, please post in the PTR Feedback or PTR Bug Report forums.

Please note that the below patch notes only include changes currently available for testing on the PTR. While many of these changes may also be available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in a future patch, the PTR is PC-only and only reflects changes coming specifically to that platform.


BUG FIXES

General

  • Fixed a bug with team composition tips appearing on hero select in non-role-queue 6v6 game modes

Maps

Nepal

  • Fixed a bug that allowed players to stand on top of the bell

Oasis

  • Fixed a bug that allowed players to stand in an unintended location

Heroes

Junkrat

  • Fixed a bug that caused the default RIP-Tire portrait to appear when equipping specific skins
  • Fixed a bug where using RIP-Tire on a ledge could cause it to appear on the ground underneath

Reinhardt

  • Characters pinned by Charge and slammed into a wall will now be placed flush with the wall, more accurately placing them out of the range of area-based abilities (like Baptiste’s Immortality Field) when appropriate

Roadhog

  • Fixed a bug that caused Toxic Roadhog’s hook to flicker on low settings

This might be an unpopular opinion, but I’m so glad that dumb Junkrat RIP-Tire glitch was fixed :partying_face:

It did need fixed

Still a shame they are making Junkrat even worse while hitscan still terrorizes the game.

Eh, we might get a ow/ow2 dev update this week so i think its no big deal.

I don’t think the tyre bug needs changing its rare that you see a junkrat using it but it’s one of the best things he can do

Besides it’s not junkrat who should be getting nerfed. He’s a glass cannon who gets counted by everyone.

Removing the drop tyre tactic will probably make me stop playing him since it’s the best part about him.
